It would depend on the war the service member served in, originally being about Civil War ‘Decoration Day’ then changed to modern title Memorial Day after World War I. Like there’s something to criticize about every administration when you look through a historic lens and new perspective.

I’d like to see their views on modern policy (1970s to 2026) more than one administration or one particular president. And it would be for my sake, since Right and Left would politicize what they say to score points online, on the news, etc. rather than try to educate on meaningful issues that affect everyone Left to Right.
