Coming less than a year after Charlie Kirk was tragically assassinated, trying to downplay or excuse an active bomb threat because you dislike someone's faith or politics is unconscionable. Vote Yes if you condemn this extremism outright. If you vote No, you are validating targeted political terrorism.

@goaded No, I do not think it is okay to ignore any of that. Boelter’s alleged actions were evil, and if his target list included Democratic lawmakers and abortion providers, then it was targeted political violence that must be condemned without hesitation.

But that still does not prove he represents mainstream conservatives, pro-life voters, or “the right” as a whole. An extremist committing political violence does not give anyone permission to smear millions of peaceful people who had nothing to do with it.

And it still does not answer the original issue. A bomb threat against Erika Kirk is evil. One act of political violence does not cancel out or excuse another.

I condemn Boelter. I condemn the threats against Erika Kirk. I condemn political violence regardless of the target. That should not be difficult.
