This woman is 52 years old right now, and she just got 35 years in prison for hosting teenage drinking parties. Okay, it looks like she did a whole lot more than just have parties for these kids. Looks like she molested or caused a lot of them to be molested, so the sentence does not seem unreasonable to me.

Life in prison for hosting a party that served teenagers alcohol, no.

If it were Fentanyl or a very powerful drug then there would be a case to be made given the addictive nature plus the life threatening consequences of those drugs, the adult would have to know better and to purposely do it to a lot of innocent children then totally we can debate life in prison is warranted.
In this case, no life in prison isn’t warranted especially when there are Epstein linked abusers who are still at large without any sign of accountability which put children at severe risk more than a couple alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol shouldn’t be given to children. And it doesn’t warrant life imprisonment.

Not defending the convicted in anyway. Please. Accept that.

The US is super-punitive. In Australia a rape conviction might carry a sentence of 5 years, maybe 6. Good behaviour gets you out in 3 years or so. Extenuating circumstances can of course push that a lot higher, up to a life sentence in some states, but rarely imposed.

Yeah, this is the country that routinely assaults and murders its citizens in the streets, drops high explosives on human beings, drowns people to death in chairs, and burns them to death with electricity, or puts a mask over their face and suffocates them. Super-punitive is a mild term for it.

35 years is very excessive considering the jail times rapists, peados, murders and stabber get. Probably no jail time needed at all, a hefty fine would do.

Sometimes judges have no common sense.

Excessive, yes. But she doesn’t have the right to substitute her decision making for the other teenagers’ parents. They’re perfectly capable of sneaking around and drinking on their own
