Should people in jail or prison b allowed conjugal visits or should they not be allowed to enjoy that?

It’s important for convicts, especially ones who will be getting out at some point, to maintain their relationships on the outside while incarcerated. They will be released at some point and need those community connections. Not mention that conjugal visits help keep the inmates calm.
It’s about more than just sex.

Maybe they do it to decrease the chance of prison rape or to make them less angry so they will be easier to control, I’m sure they are not doing it out of pity for the offenders.

It might depend on the prison sentence cause I know the night stalker and the guy that killed John Lennon were allowed conjugal visits.

Top left guy I know was arrested for drugs.

If would say conjugal visits might distract them from their rehabilitation so I would not allow it unless you could prove their mental health required it.

I’m not vindictive but there is no point in putting people in jail if it’s better than life outside of jail

It depends. The reason they're in prison is to protect the public, generally. I don't see how sex should be withheld as long as they are not a danger to society; however, they should not be able to make children, which will further burden the system.

People are sent to prison AS punishment, not FOR punishment. Automatically denying them stuff is not only needlessly cruel, but denies prisons options to reward good behavior.
