At the time their was a lot of gratitude but not so much now

in WW2 Australian troops were the first to stop German forces (at Tobruk) and the first to to stop Japanese troops on Kokoda Trail and at Milne Bay. Despite that it was utterly impossible for us to do much more.

We were entirely reliant on the US.

What you will find it is the Global Left that hates you just as your part of it - your Democrats - hates the US.

Thanks for a MHO. I heard opinion afterwards that 'equity' defines the Left. That people should have equal outcomes irrespective of where they are or the effort they make or that there institutions support economic activities.

So of course in Marxian terms those with less equal outcomes are the oppressed. Those with more equal outcomes are the Marxian oppressors with the clear connotation that something should be done to the oppressors.

Naturally the oppressors are white males.

As the US is top of the heap in affluence, the US must be hated most of all.

All I know is that the French people along the invasion beaches have adopted the graves of the fallen to take care of the graves handed down since D-Day. Many are in contact with the families of the fallen and have hosted the families to this day. So not all of the people are as forgetful as their nations are in remembering the fallen and thanking them for their sacrifice. [The Military Cemetery in Normandy]
