Why are people so hypocritical about respecting religions and believers?

What do you mean? I can respect people without respecting their beliefs. Love the believer, hate the belief.

You can but still requires a great deal of respect. I hate Muslim and pagan beliefs, but I still respect there opinions and values in conersation.

I don't care what they believe until they try to force others to behave according to their beliefs. I don't care what they believe as long as they don't claim that there is evidence supporting their beliefs. If someone publicly claims external evidence for their beliefs, I think it is reasonable for others to point out flaws in that evidence.

If someone says "I don't need a reason, I believe it in my heart", fine, I won't argue with that.

Because a lot of the main religions are about saving the soul of nonbelievers.

When i first gave my life to Christ i swore i'd never be that kind of a Christian. I always maintained the philosopy that "God's time is perfect" God will always meet you where you're at. And when you're ready, he's there. So why do i need to beat someone over the head with my faith? How is that helpful or productive? I've softened a little on this stance though.

So what? Maybe you do need to be saved. Modern people are so arrogant, and set in there ways. And I'm saying this as a 25 year old Gen Z. We have to be humble and accept maybe there's more to it, i'm saying this as a formr atheist

No. I don't need to be saved. I need to put my trust more in God. I don't do that nearly enough.
