Why do people ask for honest opinions, then get upset by honest answers?

Why even ask the question if they get offended by polite, but honestly answers?

A lot of the people asking loaded questions already have their answer and they just want to argue with people about it. I also notice that the answer they already have decided on is incredibly emotionally biased and difficult to accept with a logical mindset.

So people being people, naturally hit their bias with logic or counter arguments to their bias, and they simply don't get their confirmation bias injection, and the response is their emotions... very biased emotions.

You'll see it a lot on the political side side of this website right now. And it's so bad that the people that don't agree don't even bother to try and argue with them and it turns into a circle jerk of them just telling each other how right they are. Like a confirmation bias orgy where they're basically just sucking each other off.

A legitimate question doesn't already have the correct answer in place that they judge every opinion off of. Those people are not really asking a question, they're just here to argue with people like it's argument class or argument training.

I still think some people are a little bit too harsh with their responses sometimes. One time I posted a picture of myself asking how old do I look and somebody told me I look like shrek.

Often its how a person answers. They are disrespectful. Its possible to disagree without being disagreeable in my opinion.
