Is it wrong to move into a place and not want to talk to neighbors?

I feel like as long as I keep my property clean, grass mowed, pay my rent and stay to myself I don't owe anyone my attention, conversation or time. But neighbors are weirdos and believe they deserve access to me! I also picked up shady vibes from them. What is wrong with people and their entitlement?

Take a chance and find a friend that's right there at all times. At worst they are also over there away from you just as much.

A good neighbor goes a long way. Finding one means being one equally.

Let's call it a wasted opportunity if you are just being shy. Put a little effort and it turns into a mutual "howdy neighbor." Passing by and that it. That's good old American Dream respect.

Yeah, you absolutely do not have to interact with your neighbors at all if you don't want to. Although it's considered rude not to. If you do that, however, don't expect them to help you when you need help.
