Why are people so evil?

There's a lot of evil heartless people in the world we defend murderers, pedophiles even, support killing people based on political views mostly liberals cause their mentally insane.

Unfortunately it’s human nature on whether someone chooses to be good or bad. someone’s life experiences could be a big part of the reason why. Because Not everyone was raised in healthy environments , and not everyone is surrounded by good people. There is a lot of negativity and positivity in this world only you can decide which one you want to choose and live your life that way. I tend to live life as positive as I can , even though I experienced a lot of negativity in my life, since I came into this world , but realized I am happier and content when i surround myself with positive people over negative people as much as possible , if someone negative comes into my life , they won’t be a part of my life for long , because I won’t waste anymore of my time with them and ignore them as much as possible. If someone wants to live their life negative and evil , then go find negative and evil people to surround yourself with period. It’s your life and your choice

I think the "us vs them" mentality is engrained. It is easy to pick a side and dehumanize the other. For others it's an aspect of experience or culture.
