3 dI would say it's hard to claim the Islamic Republic of Iran accomplished more than survival. Their population is beyond frustrated with the government, and many died before the war even started. It's economy was in tatters before it even began and its much worse now. They suffered terrible losses during the air campaign that will take years to rebuild. Their reaction to those strikes didn't put them in the best light throughout the region. There isn't much the government can do but say it survived, even though regime change wasn't an objective. Ultimately, Trump got what he wanted. Israel wanted far more and will be displeased. If the talks hold and there is no more hostilities, I predict Iran will take decades to rebuild and will become more aggressive. They will likely return to butchering its own people. That is the inevitable downside.

Is the Iranian flag flying over the white house right now? No?
So they didn’t win shit.
And then you wanna talk about them having survived and stayed un damaged?
Their psycho dictator was blown to bits on day 2!
In no way are they still the same they’ve always been.
The only mistake Trump made was allowing them to blockade Hormuz and illegally hold the world economy hostage like the pirate thugs they are.
The only thing making this not a total knockout is the fact that there isn’t a hole in in the ground where the IRGC used to lay their terrorist heads00 Reply

@NovaSpawn Iran still has their missiles and nuclear program and the Mullah regime is still in power. The US didn't manage to get any of their declared goals. The US burned billions of dollars, hurt global economy, damaged the relationship with their allies even further and even fucked over Ukraine even more by lifting Russian sanctions and stopping promised weapon supplies.
And for what? To get a promise that Iran is willing to talk about their nuclear program. To maybe get a deal to regulate it. Something that we had already before Trump cancelled the treaty. Yeah well done /s
You can damage Iran's economy and ships all you want, that wasn't the goal of this war and they were already in terrible state to begin with. It looks like the US might even have to pay repair costs as part of the deal. Like I said, wars don't know winners. Unless you consider distracting from Epstein files a valid war goal, then the US succeeded 100%. - 4 d
Cooked 😂😂😂

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. The US listed 4 goals for the war. 1. The dismantling of Iran's nuclear program. The memorandum states that the dismantling of the program is required before any final agreement is signed. Success. 2. The degradation of Iran's missile abilities. This war has seen over 90% of Iran's capacity and production eliminated. Success 3. Degradation of Iranian proxies. Hamas was already defeated, Houthis played no role, and Hezbollah suffer over 2,000 Kia and Lebanon is working with Israel to disarm. Success. 4 degradation of naval forces. 159 ships have been destroyed and they are limited to a fleet of speedboats. Success

The US also built stronger relationships with Arab partners. Israel now have closer defense ties. Iran, has become a pariah. The failing Iranian economy is now worse, with nearly a 500 billion to 1 Trillion lose of military equipment that will take decades to replace. China and Russka distanced themselves.

@NovaSpawn Trump changed his opinions on the war goals more often than his underwear 🙄 want me to give you the quotes where he talks about regime change and other bullshit?
Oh you want me to read the memorandum? You mean the one that hasn't been made public? I'm sorry, I'm not in a so fortunate position to get this kind of information from your government 🤦♀️
And from what is known it's even requiring the "dismantling of Iran's nuclear program" like you mentioned, only that they don't go nuclear weapons.
And do you even know what a memorandum of understanding is? It's a NON-BINDING agreement. It doesn't mean shit, just that they agreed to talk about all the things they don't agree on in the future.
Iran still has its missiles and nuclear program and regime and control over the straight and hasn't made any legally binding concessions yet. Those are facts and if you can't see that then you're being absolutely naive and ignorant. Now stop spamming more of this nonsense, this discussion is an obvious waste of time 😒 - 4 d
Agree and us has to pay all the damage US done in iran in billions of dollars...
Oil sanction lifted...
US cooked badly in this war 😂😂

The damage in the war was in Ukraine, not Russia. Ukraine will need to rebuild, not Russia. It is a pyrrhic victory for Iran. They won in the sense they weren't obliterated, but that's not a win outside of the immediate conflict. They lost a lot, and it will take a long time to rebuild. Ignoring the fact that the U. S. has more national debt than the rest of the world combined (we did before the war), we'll come out ahead, because once again there was no combat on American soil. It's also nearly impossible to say that we won when we don't even know what our objective actually was.
00 ReplyIt's ongoing. They lost their navy, air force, much of their leadership, much of their missile abilities, and their proxies have been weakened. Their economy is collapsing. Lost $500+ billion of equipment, lose $500 million daily from the blockade. Their population hates them. You tell me?

Anonymous(36-45)3 dIs that what winning looks like? An economy in shit? Trade in shit? Infrastructure in shit? Loss of blood and treasure, military shown to he weak?
Meanwhile America walked away with huge profits in oil, gas, fertiliser, trade, military sales etc.
00 Reply10.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They got pounded I wouldn’t wanna be Iran. They can’t do anything. They don’t have the technology or the fire power. They are no threat at all unless they get their hands on nuclear weapons then that’s a problem.
