Why did Democratic pride in being American collapse from 2001 to 2026?

Polling data shows that in January of 2001, 90% of Republicans were proud to be American.
That same poll shows the same 90% of Republicans were proud to be American in January, 2026.
That same poll shows that 85% of Democrats were proud to be American in January, 2001, while only 29% of Democrats were proud to be American in January, 2026.

Don’t research anything today and you will end up heavily biased to the left. Not a criticism just an observation. The leftist media and politicians for that matter push the narrative that America is bad. Slavery, racism, capitalism which causes wage gaps… America is a bad bad place. Who would want to live in such a bad place?
Simply no critical thinking and no research. Let’s start off with if you live in America and you own ANYTHING that’s thanks to capitalism. No socialist or communist gave me the 3 houses I own. I’ve worked 2 and 3 jobs at times and I worked for millionaires.

The education system has convinced kids to hate America. They teach what is wrong with America instead of all the things that America does better than anyone else.
