How about seeing an ever-increasing amount of the taxes you are paying buying food, housing, health insurance, free education and a monthly allowance on a debit card for millions of illegal aliens who aren't paying any taxes and whose first act upon entering our country was to break our laws when you, a law abiding American citizen can barely afford to pay your own bills?

Had your neighborhood turned into a third world country?

Honestly when you summarize it, Build Back Better means exactly the same thing just without the ripping it off from Ronald Reagan. The truth is you can’t hide behind a curtain that reads, “Good Guy 20XX” then go “You hate good guys if you don’t support the title” because that is just ridiculous especially where the facts go.

In 2020 I voted for my first president after years of supporting Trump (wasn’t old enough to vote in 2016) / talking people into electing him, I cast my ballot for President Biden.

Trump promised Infrastructure, Veteran Benefits, Afghan Pullout, Fixing The Border, Repeal Affordable Care Act / Replace it with better plan, bring jobs back, etc.

President Biden was the one who Delivered! Infrastructure, Veteran Benefits via Pact Act, Afghan Pullout, Kept in place Trump’s border policies however closed the border recently via Executive Order also has proposed Fentanyl Detectors which Republicans voted against, Expanded Affordable Care Act, and brought thousands of jobs via Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, Chips And Science Act bringing thousands of manufacturing for microchips.

Should I even mention Trump is the guy who saw human life as “People are dying, that’s true. It is what it is”(I saw that interview when it first came up on YouTube and my immediate thought was Trump would lose the election from this viral clip spreading which he did). President Biden provided monthly relief to single parent households with multiple children compared to Trump’s $650 one-time checks that only helped slightly with paying taxe/bills depending where you lived, not with raising a family in a pandemic. Biden gave up to $1,500 a month to families in need. And people dare point the finger that I voted for Biden and plan to do it twice because I don’t care about others… I care about others which made me NOT support the guy who doesn’t.

Again, I supported Trump and I admit my mistake. MAGA on paper is a good thing, the person who wrote in big black sharpie was a Snake Oil salesman. Biden didn’t make a real plan and totally created a mess on exit. Trump did a lot to fix the Veterans Administration that was a complete mess and still needs some work but is a lot better now. Inflation was under control then, housing was more reasonable and people had jobs and jobs that made for a better living.

1) Implies that america was "great" to begin with which is very much a matter of perspective (ex. it might have been if you were well-off and probably white, but was less likely to be so if you were poor or any form of minority pretty much ever). The "again" in the slogan implies that we want to revert it to its original state (which again, was very not great for a lot of people regardless of when you revert to)

2) we don't actually care that much about the slogan. We care that it's a movement that promotes a lot of ideas that we disagree which, such as blaming immigrants for economic problems that are far more effected by the decisions made by massive corporations and the like. We're just more likely to seek explanations for societal problems outside of just "the government did it" (though of course sometimes problem are due to government negligence, etc) and "X minority did it". We look critically at systematic problems, the control that large corporations hold on everyday life, and the variety of experiences that exist within this nation that need to be respected and accounted for when considering a problem.

Never forget that the 2008 economic crisis for example, was the result of white collar crime, failure/lack of regulation, and rich and powerful business people taking advantage of a broken system in order to prey on working class people right up until they couldn't anymore. (Not immigrants, if that wasn't clear.)

3) Loosely speaking, we're not angry at the idea of improving the country in the slightest. We just don't necessarily see your idea of "great" as being the same as ours. My idea of a great country is one where everyone, regardless of the circumstances of their birth or origins, is able to maintain a reasonable quality of life and can live in society without fear, one that is tolerant and respectful of the inherent diversity of human experiences, and one where people are free to make their own choices on how to live their life, rather than be subject to someone else's personal or religious value system.

Just just to debunk a couple things said, the federal minimum wage is $7.25, the highest minimum wage in the country is $17 in the District of Columbia (aka not $20). McDonalds makes upwards of $10 billion in the US alone, so I think they can afford decent wages for their workers. I'm honestly not sure what exactly you're blaming illegal immigrants for, so largely no comment. And the general cussing, name-calling, and insults don't really have much meaning so I guess we can just all ignore that.

Well, Biden DID at least lower taxes! I recently got my statement from my tax attorney that I just paid $273,481in income tax on my trust fund alone for fiscal year 2023, I don’t even want to write the amt of tax I had to pay on my uncle’s trust fund, that I won in the lawsuit after his conviction! However, my point is that apparently for FY 2024 I’ll only be paying an estimated $238,391 next year! So that’s a $35,000 tax cut… That’s not bad at all. The only thing I can tell you is that there have been no tax cuts since Biden took office. When President Trump was in office he passed one of the biggest tax cuts in US history.

By the way. President Trump's tax cuts will expire at the end of 2025 and the Democrats have already indicated that if they are in power they are not going to renew them. However, if you are paying that level of taxes it means you are the very same "wealthy" that Biden and the Democrats are demonizing and targeting. Oh yes we are well aware! Our money was over seas, and it was brought to the US when Trump allowed corporations to bring the offshore income to the US w/o added tax penalties! (or something like that) So as you can imagine we’re all more than ready to just get our assets of shore again, if the Democrats retain power!

I do know the main fund, into which all the royalties are deposited is a British trust fund, or at least it was established by my British family, but MY trust (and my brother’s) was set-up in the US when we were born, apparently for taxation purposes, ¯\_(ッ)_/¯ I also know I have my own attorney and my own CFP who handle the day to day management of the fund, and a tax attorney who handles the taxes, but I just know I get a 6 figure “stipend” every month, and a shitload of compounding interest that gets redeposited into it every year, and that other than paying for my schooling completely as well as living expenses, and “sensible” transportation (and I did start getting a (very) small cash allowance every month, when I began school), that I can’t touch it for another 3 ½ years! I think before then I’ll sit down with my attorney and learn more about it. But for now I’m just glad it pays for my school, and the bills at my and my fiancé’s apartment! (Although I’m pretty sure if I don’t graduate in December, that I’ll have to give up my dorm room). The unfortunate part when dealing with professionals who are handling your money is that you never know if they are doing it right or what shenanigans are going on unless you know enough about the topic yourself to keep an eye on them.

I'm not suggesting that these particular professionals are doing anything wrong, but I know enough to know that they're an awful lot of them who are crooked.

Apparently from what I sense you are a beneficiary only and not a trustee. The benefit of that is that you don't have to worry about managing the money just receiving it. The downside is that you have no control over the process.

Yes you’re correct, I have zero control over it. The trust is managed by the family, in England, and my father. I do know that our family attorneys are part of the oldest law firm on earth, and the firm is over 450 years old. So I doubt they are pulling any “shenanigans”, and my US attorney, and CFP, are regularly audited. That’s literally all I know. As for the details, whenever I discuss it, I am a vague as is humanly possible. I never give out the family name (that would just be stupid, and would endanger my life!) I was already stalked once because I gave out too much info on my dad’s company, and someone figured out who he is, and he used the online property appraisers to find my house! I had to have private security for a LONG time after that! I learned my lesson! Thanks so much for the wonderful advice. Yeah. I hear you. I do think there's some hope though. We seem to have hit "peak retarded leftism" and are moving back towards something less stupid. The gender nonsense together with the fanboyism of Hamas has kind of caused things to jump the shark. That plus the border situation, the EPIC meltdown of Joe Biden and the current turn of the media to be so OBVIOUSLY a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC as they try to prop up the dumpster-fire that is Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate all point to a major drubbing in November.

I'd like to agree, but cannot. I think the only way this might happen is if they lose big in November. Then they will have to rethink everything.

However, if they win, I believe not only will they resume the full retardation, but will increase it exponentially as they will be emboldened with nothing to stop them this time. I think the only reason they are toning it down is that they know they need to put just one more nail in the coffin of sanity first and that they need to wait until the election is over so that can happen. If they win there will be nothing to stop them.

Yeah, but the reason I think it's likely to be receding is that it's not just SOOOOOO obvious how completely corrupted media is. I think even the establishment Dems would prefer someone else, but they're making a pitch for unity. But I think outside of the people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, NO ONE is super interested in her. I think a bunch of Dems stay home for the election. But I think both the MAGA Republicans and the "traditional" Republicans as well as the independents who see the current policy environment as a mess that they'll show up to vote the Dems out.

Don't forget--the VAST majority of Americans don't support open borders AND immigration is a top 2 issue amongst the electorate. And obviously the inflation issue is a HUGE problem for the Dems. I just don't see the pulling it off. They may still try to imprison Trump, but after getting shot he's going to be like "bring it on!"

Yeah fair enough. The reason I think she has a pretty slim chance indeed is the baked in negativity bias that's always there in elections. It's the same thing that holds for a lot of customer reviews of businesses. When things go well, people don't bother filling them out. When you're pissed as fuck you're happy to write a review in DETAIL.

Same thing with a lot of voting. The Republicans and the independents who are upset with current policy (and there are a LOT of them) WILL show up. But the Dems and the independents who DON'T have Trump Derangement Syndrome will do the same thing the Democrat college kids did in 2016--they'll stay home. They weren't excited by the choice they were given, so they said, "eh--I'll do something else with my day."

Remember--Biden BARELY won in 2020. Do we think things are BETTER for the Dems now than they were then? I think pretty much EVERYTHING is worse for them.

There was no finding of conviction entered into the record by the judge and the sentencing hearing at which this would take place has been postponed for months because it appears the trial may have been unconstitutional.
