Not guilty by reason of insanity is rarely successful in court because most people with mental illnesses still understand the difference between morally right and morally wrong.

The only thing that clinically validates someone’s insanity is if they’re seeing hallucinations that are indistinguishable from real life.
A psychiatrist once explained it to me.


Everything else is minor mental trouble and doesn’t render a person clinically insane.
