Not really. Go visit a commune some time. See what true communism looks like. It’s actually quite liberating. Suggesting that communism has ever been practiced on a large scale is like saying that North Korea functions exactly like the USA because they call themselves a “democratic republic”. You’ve never seen it. Nobody has because it’s never been done. Stop talking about it like you have any meaningful idea what communism is. The exact same thing ruined large scale communism is ruining our large scale “capitalism”, greed. PEOPLE f*ck things up. Next time you tell someone that guns don’t kill people, people do, stop and swap in “communism” for guns. Communism is just a thing, as pragmatic as any other. It’s how people use it that makes it good or bad.
Sharing all your stuff isn't freedom. Some people just like to live like plebs, peasants and slaves because that's who they likely inherited their genes from.
The communist and freedom each have their own identity
I think it's even harder to live in a free country when you have 16 Elite social societies that are trying to control and have their own agenda
But yes I do think that is true and thank you for bringing it to our awareness because all truth must come out before we can get to where we're going or where we need to go as one people
exactly people, even big group, can choose to share everything. but government control is bad. even a rent freeze is bad because government interfered. it shouldn't interfere.
the way to help renters is called supply demand. more supply of homes apartment flats, than demand, will help renters.
True. But try being free in a capitalistic, right-wing, authoritarian dictatorship. Both right-wing and left-wing dictatorships suck. They are very dangerous.
A right wing authoritarian dictatorship (which is incredibly rare and you can only point to Pinochet) is incredibly based and would still not be totalitarian. The very nature of leftism is a totalitarian command economy. When the right wing becomes capitalistic dictators we're only trying to remove communists and anyone who wishes to subvert traditional values or undermine to nation (so they'd deserve it).
@Taranis_Thunor. Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Salazar, Somoza, Dollfuss, Horthy, Antonescu, Shah Pahlavi, Stroessner, Videla, Banzer, Bordaberry, Suharto, Park Chung-hee, Mobutu, ... to name a few.
And how did I know your first examples would be Hitler, Mussolini & Franco? But here is the thing about that. Fascism started off as a Marxist movement and practiced Marxist economics where the Nation, State and it's people were all one. In practice this is exactly the same as the worker shareholder ideology of the left. Mussolini was a civic nationalist who believed that anyone could be Italian as long as they culturally assimilate. Again this is a nationalism that's no different to the leftist SNP and Irish Nationalism, which isn't right wing at all. Hitler was a National Socialist who rejected Karl Marx, yet believed in a Socialism non-the-less as he was a homeless man himself. Hitler constantly opposed Capitalism in all of his speeches and effectively removed the private sector by giving the government complete rights to tell you what you're allowed to produce. The National Socialists even fired bosses from their own business'. Franco started off with and continued to practice a leftwing style, command economy for a while. To give credit to him he was quite pragmatic when it came to economics, as once he was redone building Spain he focused on privatising the economy. Researching Salazar he just seems based although he was a corporatist which is not capitalist. He wasn't a syndicalist either so I'd put him on the center, not the right. In Anastasia Somaza's case he was targeting Marxists, who wish to do others what he did to them. We in the west suppress Nazism (over their nationalism and not their Marxism) so what's wrong when the right suppresses Communism? That's called adaptation. I've proved my point enough. Clearly you've given an AI answer because you couldn't answer it yourself and most of these examples are either dishonest or from small irrelevant regimes.
@Lliam So you think Hitler was a right wing capitalist like Elon Musk, Ronald Regan, Margret Thatcher or Donald Trump? All 4 examples with some tendancies for authoritarianism (Because he's rich, Elon musk benefits from a regulated economy that the left also want). Yet you could call all of those examples Capitalists, especially Elon who lives the Capitalist lifestyle. The British Empire under Queen Victoria was a hyper conservative patriarchy (Victoria had some interesting views there...) with authoritarian laws. Yet they also had a free capitalist market and would not interfere with some crimes such as petty violence (which people weren't as soft about in those days).
Trump is making people consider it here with his policies. people think it can't be worse. Look at all the liberals winning elections with Communist leanings.

In the immortal words of the gang from King of the Hill...
I would have to think that it is true

If ony their was a government of the people, for the people, by the people. If only such a country could exist and hold true to that value.
And it will never exist so abandon your flawed Marxist slave morality.
@Taranis_Thunor it's the American Dream. It's American exceptionalism.

Spectacularly true!

@Taranis_Thunor. If the only one you know about is Pinochet, you haven't studied much history.
@Lliam Give me another. Is it actually you who hasn't studied history much?

@Taranis_Thunor. I knew it would be a waste of time to dignify your question with an answer.

No it's not...
- Communists were persecuted in many countries during the Cold war, including the USA
- I lived in "communist country" (actually socialist country, because real communism is a stateless society) - and I was free.
It is so true that you couldn't post this in a communist country.
I talk to women from China and they have no problem with life in China and these women have been to America.
China adopted Capitalist economics into Communist system. It's now more of a totalitarian centrist government.
Trump is making people consider it here with his policies. people think it can't be worse. Look at all the liberals winning elections with Communist leanings.
Sounds spot on to me.
Hmmmm. 🤥. 🤔 what’s passing here?
Absolutely
A based lady?
Yeppers it's true!!

Yes. The champagne socialists might not agree.
Indeed it is.
