Protests are fine... people seem to have forgotten the difference between a protest and a riot or even terrorism for that matter though. People getting arrested are not simply getting arrested for protesting... they are committing crimes.
I mean if I'm wrong... STFU about January 6th then. You feel me? Otherwise, let us recognize the difference between protesting and crimes.
