Why did Family Guy turn its characters into lame, effeminate weirdos?

Family Guy should have probably ended many years ago. We saw the transition of Stewie from a diabolocal, witty persona to a gay, effeminate one. Now they are doing the same to Peter. They turned Joe from a tough guy to a pathetic, woeful loser. The plots seem dull and unamusing now. Is this supposed to be some woke, garbage propaganda now? South Park has sold themselves to the woke crowd too. Wtf?
