Why do all these kid shows always have a dumb character?

its only on kid shows from the looks of it, its like a tradition in their stuff, anyone noticed, it can sometimes be funny but most of the time its not, is there other reasons why they do this?

Check out the commedia del arte. Its a character structure that all shows have used. You can always find the various character archetypes in every show, there's the hero, the damsel, the fool usually the stupid character is the fool and they're usually always there for comedic relief only.. this doesn't just happen in kid shows think about the show friends they had two Joey and phoebe with Joey being the main one.

No I'm on my way to becoming a Literary professor. I said this before. I have a wealth of literary knowledge and stuff about the English language rattling away in my brain up there. Plus a whole bunch of other stuff is up there I was gonna go into medicine too. I know because I either had to research it, remember it or I just liked the fact of it. Literature and pop culture are my specialty and even though we have tv as medium now the stories follow the same rules and structures as literature sometimes.

No, never. To memory dumb character in show I liked they were Ron weasley, shaggy and scooby doo, kid flash, naruto and they're all very cool characters to me.
Maybe you have some list of annoying dumb character? By memory I can't think of any that annoyed me

well watch enough disney and you'll see it, either ways did you see the last season? i didn't cause no lie it became so repetitive that i knew he was gonna get his ass kicked and then retreat and then kick its ass the second time, but maybe some day ill grow the motivation to watch the last season, seems like even the actors are tired of that shit 😂

I don't watch much disney only when I was a child, the one dumb character I remember was the Prince in Ariel I couldn't support him ways too dumb. By memory I only watched the disney princess and the one who had animal as main character like lion king and aristochat
