Why do people do the stupid things in TV or movies?

Recently I have noticed (maybe my age 😂) that in TV and movies actors are scripted to do the absolute stupid things! Such as watching Stranger Things S4-E3 (just one of many examples!) Police are at 11s door and while others are talking to the police (obviously about her in trouble) she comes wandering out in plain sight like (what you are looking for little old me?) I mean come on people!

Because it's hard to write compelling stories about people acting intelligently- unless you cut out the action (or most of it). The first Tremors is an exception (worth double points, singe it's a monster movie) in which everyone consistently makes ithelligent decisions based on the information they have. Even the monsters.

It was also during filming of it that the star's wife had their first baby, which, by family tradition, was to be named "Macon" after an old friend, but Kevin refused to name a child "Macon Bacon". While it has nothing to do with the movie, I very much appreciate a celebrity deciding to NOT give their child a stupid name.

Because the creators of them are too unintelligent or just too lazy to make the characters remotely smart while still keeping things interesting. However, that is another trendy flaw I fix in Yvridio Vaseilio, and if it does happen another character WILL call it out
