Feminism is a direct offshoot of Marxism - the original Feminists in the late 1800s were Marxists, and it's always been Marxist, and it's always been anti-male. Karl Marx and his circle of intellectuals who created the tenets of Marxism recognized that Marxism could not compete with freedom and Capitalism, and thus you could not convert such a society to Marxism directly. The only way to convert a society to Marxism is to completely destroy the society first, from within, so that there was only chaos, and only then would enough people be convinced that Marxism was a viable option and vote it in (the last vote they would ever get).
Feminism was one avenue of attack to destroy society. Marx recognized that families were incredibly strong and resilient, and could help the society recover from the destruction that other avenues of attack would cause, so it was important to destroy families, and to do that, they had to attack the core: the bond between men and women. Thus, Feminism was born, and it was born with the goal of destroying the relationship between men and women. And they also recognized that it would be much easier to target women, because women are much easier to manipulate.
In the 60s, all of the feminist leaders were college-educated Marxists. Gloria Steinem was a CIA asset for a time, and the sister of Betty Friedan, who wrote The Feminine Mystique and who was the first president of NOW, reported that during the meetings that let up to the formation of NOW, the leaders talked extensively about how they needed to destroy relationships between men and women and to find every possible way to disadvantage men in favor of women.
Cosmopolitan magazine was run by Marxist women in NYC and routinely made up "facts" to support their Marxist, Feminist ideas - the latter to promote female promiscuity, for women to alienate men, and for women to adopt masculine goals and priorities.

When the first male domestic violence shelter was proposed in the United States, some feminist rallied against it.. Saying that it would start to take away from women.. But no feminist fought against those feminist rallying against it.. Neither did any feminist rally against the women who shamed men because they didn't wanna go to war in WWI and II in Britain.. Sure there are feminist who truly want equality or do defend men, but those are few and far between and they don't represent the idealogy as a whole..
You yourself might not hate men but feminism itself has always deemed men to be a threat to women. The Declaration of Sentiments itself has made several statements stating how male centered and how women were affected by it. it is actually quite tame compared to what feminists say today.

I also have seen men abused at work and women... not so much, because certain classes of people have more protections and they are careful with them.
My point is, there isn't fairness in this country and world. You can fight for it all you want, but it will instead... prefer to screw you. Also consider the divorce filing rate being 80% in favor of women and the epidemic of women making false sex related allegations and wrongfully eviscerating men in court.
The hookup culture is a consequence. Women cannot become predatory in court when they give themselves to men willingly. Men are staying out of relationships because the risks to lives and careers. Marriage has become a time bomb for men. They are likely to lose the product of their entire careers when the kids are grown or even before.

Feminism was never about equality and they were not compared to Nazis for no reason. Ever since the declaration of sentiments, the fundamental premise of the ideology is that we live in a world or society where men rule and therefore women are oppressed. I think that is insane.
First of all, male and female are biological attributes, not ideologies. And no, feminism =/= women in that regard. That would imply that women are a hivemind or at least think the same way. It could also mean that feminism speaks on behalf of women which isn't the case because women who disagree with feminism to a any sort of degree exist.
Second of all, if it really were the case that men oppressed women for centuries humanity would have been cooked. The sexes do not work like races. All of the other races are able to live to produce the next generation if one got exterminated, the sexes do no work like that for obvious reasons. If it were the case that women were beaten, killed, abandoned, etc. as if they were mere property, the birth rate would collapse so fast that we would be lucky to last another couple generations with each smaller than the last. It was hard enough before we discovered pathogens which lead to the creation of modern medicine. Women were dying enough from childbirth and children have a coin-flip's chance of even making it to adulthood. To make any more damage than that not only legal but normalized in society would be a monumentally retarded thing to do.
Third, even if I was wrong about part 2 and there really was centuries of oppression, then history dictates that treating the men of today as if they are a part of that system is a huge mistake, because that is the mistake the Nazis made (hence feminazi). That rhetoric is why there is so much vitriol against people who would otherwise be on your side and will cause them to run away.

They would be fighting to force women to join the draft, among other things. In my state, if the mother and father have 50/50 custody of their child, the father STILL pays child support. I am working on a feminist book which goes by the title 'Romance, coffee and feminism' and when I told about that to someone they said that I should be ashamed to hate men when my father was responsible for my birth and that I'm showing fatherless behaviour.

The book just talks about so many misconceptions regarding feminism and sisterhood and times women were undermined for their work while also clearly stating that there are men who are responsible for women's freedom and that feminism clearly wants equal opportunities for anyone regardless of their gender or sexuality as far the definition of it is concerned.
The problem isn't equal rights, but that feminists want more rights than men have, and consistently trash men and their biological male traits, while at the same time absolutely refusing to adhere to their own female traits. Feminists invent terms like "toxic men" and apply it to all men, completely ignoring that PEOPLE can be toxic, it's not a male/female problem, assholes exist.
By painting all men as assholes, you are punishing them for the crimes that a minority committed. Some men are simply SICK of being blamed for shit they haven't done or supported.

It's a very interesting point.
I am in favor of equality in all aspects of life and have actively supported this in the workplace and in my personal life.
But I have also recognised that needs often differ by gender and that needs to be understood and catered for. But we need to understand whether this is driven by genetics or by upbringing and social conditioning.
For example, men seem to get much more aroused by visual stimulation and tend to enjoy porn, topless girls on the beach and some (not me) go to strip clubs for arousal, not just fun. These seem to be socially unnacceptable but should they be? I don't have the answer.

Ok, well a lot of the pay inequality is because women take maternity leave so they don't get promoted as fast, in terms of medical misogyny women still live longer then men, how would you enforce no misogyny in general put men in jail if they call you chick or girl instead of woman, dress codes might forbid excessive cleavage and crop tops, but I don't think men are often permitted to show our chest hair or our belly buttons in an office setting.
