Why are so many shitty TV/movie characters named Frank?

Are there really that many shitty Franks in the world? 🤔 Do you have a favorite shitty Frank?

The only Frank I know is my roommate’s father. He’s an accountant. While not an overtly huge piece of shit, he’s definitely a shitty dad. He downplayed all of my roommate’s feelings growing up which turned into emotional neglect that traumatized her. And in order to guarantee her obedience he threatened to throw out her favorite toy as a child, the one she slept with every night. She now has anxiety and whether he’s aware of it or not he’s constantly manipulating his family, has never given her emotional support for anything he does not think she should be doing (ie she’s currently in seminary and the a-hole can’t even be proud that his christian daughter is dedicating her life to god bc he’s convinced it means she’ll never give him grandkids), and he pretty routinely acts like the only things that matter are what he wants. He’s a piece of shit.

I think because Frank is a shitty name. So why not put a shitty name on a shitty character. lol I once met a guy in his early 20's he was my neighbour and drinking with my mom I was like 18 he had a nickname he was using and we were talking about names we hate and I was like I hate the name Franklin, it is the stupidest name and he is like that is my name, I'm like really? I'm sorry 😂
