No. Democratic Socialism says Capitalism can be a workable solution for an economic system but... there are certain things that should never be handed over to the private sector for profit.

• Defense
• Education
• Healthcare
• Protection of the food supply
• Emergency Response To Natural Disasters
• Infrastructure like roads, bridges, and harbors
• Law enforcement and the courts and prisons
• Regulation of things like monopolies

Why should these things be handled by government?

• Money, only the government is capable of funding this stuff.
• Access, privatizing it would mean only the rich benefit. It creates a permanent underclass of poor uneducated people.
• Scope, these things are just too big for a fractured private sector to manage
• You would never put corporations in charge of regulating themselves
• Ethically and morally it is wrong to deny healthcare or education based on wealth or profit from other people's misfortune. Nor is it good for the country in the grand scheme of things.

No, it is not. People who think it is betray their lack of education by conflating communism and socialism. The two things are quite different.

No, they are definitionally different. Democratic socialism is what we have un a lot of circumstances in the US... our roads, fire depth, schools, police departments, and military are all socialist programs (where something is owned/ operated for the good of society.

Communism is NOT where the government owns everything, this is a misunderstanding pushed by the right. Communism is where the means of production are owned by those who are involved in the labor, and therefore they all have a say in what is done with the product of their labor and so they benefit equitably. There are plenty of worker collectives that operate in the US and, as a business structure they tend to last longer than their purely capitalist counterparts. These tend to exist as agriculture coops, electrical coops, and creative coops, but also exist in other forms, both in manufacturing and retail, typically under the phrase "employee owned"

Socialism basically makes capitalism work, if barely. There is not a single functional society without Socialism today. The only difference is how much.

Pretty much any form of authoritarianism is communism, some just take more steps to that conclusion than others.

In the end, no one will own their own property because it will belong to the state or a proxy to the state. The people will find themselves too reliant on the state to fight back despite the fact that it abuses them constantly. The society will eventually collapse becuase the number of citizens you have is finite and if you kill or imprison them all, you will have no one left.

i mean it can be in a communistic system. but if introduced into a kapitalist system, you can effectively use it to slow down the effect of the invisible hand (Pareto distribution effects that causes the wealth or ressources to accumulate in fewer and fewer people untill people don't have enoug to live which will then cause a revolution).

Not really. The effect is similar but the method is different.

Communism has everyone paid the same no matter what they do (a bit like rationing) and the state sets the value of everything to control supply and demand.

Socialism taxes everyone such that their take home pay ends up roughly the same. The state then uses those taxes on subsidies to offset the difference between supply and demand.
