they can learn to plan family based on income. the few rich families more kids. but punish the reckless irresponsible for having more kids than standards of income?

they can learn methods of counting days or pills? if they stop having kids reward?

Not in the indian government's best intrest to do that. The indian economy depends on vast amounts of cheap labour. Less people mean higher wages.

Thats why you see western governments opening boarders so saying migrants can do the jobs citizens won't, the real reason is they dont want to pay citizens a decent wage.

The indian farming depends on vast amounts of workers who work informally to grow and sell food" informal without salary. only hoping to sell the food. greens chicken milk etc. Informal Work: 87% of adults (unregulated jobs, daily wage labor, self-employed farming. so i concede you @Just_Ken are right again. and it is almost everyone 9/10 adults!

With india and china what may change their economies is as the countries they sell their goods to adopting AI and more factory automation outcompeting their cheap labour economies.
