Social Construct used to be a major buzzword with woke liberals between 2000-2010 in regards to gender and sexuality. Now its been dropped.

I had this argument with some TERFs (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists) a while back. Back then, these Leftoids were clashing on pre-Elon Musk Twitter with some other Leftoid trannies and finally ended up saying words to the effect of "Men aren't women though" and that was what got them suspended, and then permanently banned, at least until Elon Musk bought his way in and took over Twitter, now X.

And look at these TERFs had to resort to in order to make their point. Their referred to their statements that men aren't women as 'basic fact' and then went on to say, in their later lawsuits against Twitter, that 'treating gender as though it is either internal or a personal choice is dangerous.' In other words, there are some objective, immutable truths about *biology* that the trannies are ignoring.

But in the "progressive" Leftoid universe that the TERFs inhabit, in the progressive ocean they have spent their entire adult lives swimming in, there is no objective truth about gender, derived from male and female biology. That's one of their ideology planks.

Unfortunately for them, the trannies took are still are taking the same relativity (or nihilism, as the case may be) and are now applying it to biology. And why not? Where does it say where the "social construct" stopping point is actual physical biology?

The TERFs had to rely on traditional thinking and concepts such as 'basic facts' to fight back - categories that their Leftist "progressive" (sic) cohorts have scorned and abandoned long ago.

Who cares. Last time I checked, the Google search engine came back with 72 "genders". So 2 actual genders and 70 fantasy genders. I don't really care. They can view themselves however they want. It makes no difference to me. But I'm not playing along with their delusions or their self invented pronouns bullshit. Male or female. I'm gonna pick one of the two and label you as such. Why would that make them stop?
If implying they stopped because social construct is somehow a negative thing the only people who think that are conservatives who don't understand their own ideals also are while saying social constructs are bad.

I don’t think they really care if their made up genders are a social construct or not, those genders are just made up to score victim points among fellow libtards.
