Nuclear weapons are a non starter... for any sane nation.

The Straight Of Hormuz only works for a handful of countries adjacent to that area. It can more generally be characterized as taking advantage of natural terrain features like mountains, rivers, oceans, deserts, or maritime confinements like the Straight Of Gibraltar or the Straight Of Hormuz. It's a great idea if it applies in a given situation. Warring armies have been doing it as long at there have been wars.

Drones have been proven in Ukraine to be the future of ground combat. Specifically low cost drones that can be produced fast and operated with little training by the average soldier. They make the battlefield hell for ground troops. And they are not easy to defend against. They flip the table on western weapons systems that are crammed with ridiculous technology that is expensive and time consuming to produce. Those systems also generally require expensive launchers or aircraft to deploy. Ukraine has proven you can do more or less the same thing without spending billions to get a handful of technological marvels. And the drones do not need to be a Predator ($4 Million) or a Reaper ($30 Million) that flies at 50,000 feet. Expect more cheap robotic systems (drones) to appear on the battlefield in the very near future.
