I'm too old by most standards, but yeah I'd go back... especially if there's a draft.

That said, if there was actual fighting on U. S. soil I'd rather go the insurgent route than the uniformed service route, just because that's more in my wheelhouse.

If the current US military, the largest volunteer military in history with a standing force of nearly 2 million active & reserve military personnel and with maybe 10-20 ex military personnel from the last 20 years still able to serve needs to draft the likes of you then you will go or it's jail or execution.

Generally no. I'm not one to blindly go to war because some politician says I should, or because their dumb ass helped escalate a war. It would have to be for a just cause. Not all battles are created equal. However, if my own country is being attacked? You're damn right I would. I'd die to protect it and my fellow people. As I think any able-bodied person would, regardless of what country they live in.
