Why do people LOOOVE to say "not all" and pretend all groups of people are exactly the same?

For example, men commit more crime. As do black people. Black men commit the most crime statistically by far. Why do you feel the need to point out Asian women also commit crime as if it's equally as frequent? Are you stupid?

Convenience and optics. The reality is that there's no good solution to the problems those observations raise. Those are genuinely hard problems. And, when a problem is genuinely hard, most people prefer to simply avoid it or not think about it.

When you're dealing with large, multi-ethnic societies like we have in the western world, you can't rely on a shared sense of identity to bring people together. The statistical reality is that most people in any one group aren't going to be an issue. So, you have to figure out some other way to detect and eliminate disloyalty... unfortunately, there are a lot of bad solutions to that problem! lol

I have never known anyone to do this. I do know when people say facts that are true such as a particular crime statistic they immediately rush to apologize for whatever group they are referring to.
