It’s proof that racism in the US is not systemic.
There are still people with racist views, but they have no money, no power and no influence.
The demand for racism outstripped the supply years ago. That’s why people like Jussie Smollett and Taral Patel had to fake racist attacks. It’s also why democrats very recently funded organizations like the KKK and neo Nazi groups.
no but it is proof racism is not a major problem. for example kamala could not admit she lost because she was bad. so she said voters were racist. but the fact voters elected obama exposed her lie.
No. It's the opposite.
Since his election, White people have gone crazy about race and Blacks.
It's my favorite islamist spouting more nonsense.
Why is black on white violence many times more common than the reverse according to the NVS?
It proves claims of racism are overblown and used for social and political gain
Hussein Obama's election as president proves that a huge number of people were utterly deceived into believing they were doing the right thing. That's pretty scary
That's not how racism works.
@lilBigPotato so racists elect people they are racist against?
Obviously racism exists. It's everywhere.
However, if you are a nation that elects a minority into the most important position in the country, I'd argue you aren't doing too bad.
@FrodoSkywalker007 there's no country where "no racism exists". Saying there's no racism because you had a black president is like saying that there's no crime because the fuel station down the road didn't get robbed. It's an obvious stupid question and that's what I'm calling out.
I also don't agree with your statement. Theoretically, you can still elect a black president even if 49% of your population are racist, which would be terrible. I'm not saying this is the case for the US, but just that you can't make a blanket statement like this based on a single election.
Would a black president have been elected in 1860s USA? Why not?
What is the difference between 1860s USA and 2008?
@FrodoSkywalker007 it doesn't matter. Just because something was worse in the past doesn't mean it's great today.
Again, I don't want to judge how racist the US (or any other country) is today. I didn't say anything about that. It's Sunday and I don't feel like opening that can of worms. I'm just saying it's a complex topic and you cannot look at one event and rate a whole country based on it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Well, if you think electing a black president in a dominantly white nation is not a sign of progress or acceptance.
Seems to me you are just looking for excuses 😂
@FrodoSkywalker007 you're reading things I didn't say. I literally wrote twice that I'm not making any judgement on the current state of racism in the US.
I explained it twice, won't do a third time 🤷♀️
I'm teasing you. Calm down 😂
@FrodoSkywalker007 you're playing with fire lol.
Oooo so scary 😱 😂
@FrodoSkywalker007 to be honest it's incredibly tedious to make any comment in any way related to US politics on this site. You always get attacked and your words twisted. It's not fun to constantly have to defend yourself.
I understand. It's very divided.
I tend to get into many conversations on it.
Many assume I'm MAGA and a Trump supporter.
I'm not 😂
It becomes even more ironic when you realize many of my positions were held by most Democrats just 10 years ago.
You ARE sober, boy-o?
Nope.
