The US has had a racial, sexual, social, classist problem since its inception in 1620 when the pilgrims came here with a couple of slaves.

But so has the world.

THere is nothing new under the sun. Racism and the other isms have not been extinguished in US society. Trump has allowed some people to be more open about their dislikes of groups of people. It's not a pretty picture, though.

Racism has always existed in the USA. But in my opinion Trump has in many ways given his supporters "permission" to express their true racist leanings. Social media has accelerated this. Just take a look at some of the things said here on GAG... Behavior that was once considered unacceptable is now mainstream thanks to Trump.
