When it comes to housing prices, economic job shortages, it’s all about supply and demand. When you import millions of immigrants, housing supply shortages occur, prices go up on what remains. The reason you can’t get a well paying job? Immigrants will do it for cheaper. Democrats have a solution. Import more immigrants. Rinse and repeat. It’s easy to promise you the world, but do they ever give you what they promised? What did your representatives run on? Did they actually deliver anything this term? The only thing they delivered in the last decade was mass inflation, mass immigration, massive increase in regulations, and for what? Need to stop the orange man. That’s all we hear. Big orange man bad. It’s to the point where if he said oxygen is good for you, some democrats will die just to to prove him wrong. Now, I will give credit where credit is due. The CHIPS act is a good thing, but as a left leaning libertarian, they’ve gone so far left, they left me behind.

Diving into all of this would be tricky so I'll just take the first one.

Obviously more people means more housing needs. Not fighting you on that one.

But that is not what is causing the housing crisis in the US, Europe or anywhere else.

What is causing the crisis is that Houses went from being Homes to being Investments. That meant people who already had one and had stronger financial standing had reason to get a second, third, fourth and fiftieth house.

This is why when the downpayment was shifted or the amount of money loaned was increased it did not help the problem go away. It just made the investment worth more and house prices doubled.

Very simply put if rent is capped or the amount of houses a person is allowed to own is capped the housing crisis disappears over night. Not only would it solve the housing crisis it would also do wonders to solve the child-having crisis.

Buying a full house on a single low-income salary at 23 used to be normal. Heck, that'd be a bit late!

Blaming immigrants for it is exactly the sort of nonsense people actually causing the problem hopes struggling people will do.

Every problem you named, almost, is similar in nature. Scapegoats are scapegoats and rarely the fundamental problem. The housing crisis is not made by immigrants but by investors.

I think you confuse what someone renting out or buying a place to sell it does. They are not providing housing. They are interjecting themselves in the process and adding an extra cost. Like a retailer no one asked for.

At most they can be argued to be carrying risk. In reality, parasites. There's plenty of occupations that are.

Due to them prices are inflated and the housing market is kept out of the hands of those actually needing a house.

This isn't really an area with split opinions among experts.

Property owners? Never did. Landlords and such? They are.

They are using capital to increase the cost of a good for someone else without contributing.

They do not produce anything. Functionally a landlord is like me building a taxbooth in front of a store and telling you to pay me to enter a store someone else built and operates.

I understand that you might have personal reasons to disagree but there is a concept of externalities in economy. Basically if I do something it can impact society positively or negatively.

A landlord does not create or supply anything.
A landlord has a strictly negative externality.
A landlord is therefore a parasitic function of society. Which again, is why the bible and Jesus says you're not going to heaven if you do that.

I do apologize if it hurts your feelings but not every source of income is positive for society.
