No, of course not. Why does that stupid proposal keep recurring on this site? The ability to select someone reasonable and helpful when you vote has nothing to do with whether or not you've been in the military. The two things are not related. The United States military keeps being used by politicians to fight unnecessary wars that the U. S. then subsequently loses. The number of people, particularly men, who end up with diagnosable post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of this is not minimal. I'm not sure that people who have this illness should be voting until they are treated, and treating them is extremely expensive and very difficult.
