Why is today seen as the golden age of being a single guy?

Because society has labeled relationships and marriages to be a bad thing , social media brainwashed people into believing everyone cheats and everyone lies and backstabs each other eventually, making it harder for people to trust each other completely , so a lot of Guys’ and Girls’ do not fully trust each other anymore , because of that reason , so staying single , is pretty much the wise move all of a sudden , so people do not get their hearts broken or taken for granted , so staying single pretty much means that will not happen to them , staying single basically means you can do whatever you want without having to answer to anyone , that’s why casual sex and hook ups are pretty much the new norm because of it. Society has become a society filled with a bunch of selfish people , that truly only care about themselves , so relationships and marriages are pretty much pointless to a lot of people these days because they figure they can still get the benefits of having sex and hooking up with whoever gives them a chance , without any strings attached. Unfortunately a lot of people cheat and hook up with random people all the time , because they do not care about other peoples’ feelings whatsoever , they just care about themselves , so the more people they get into bed , apparently is an achievement these days. like body count is the most important thing to a lot of people , like there is this imaginary award for getting a lot of bodies in bed , which sadly means absolutely nothing. Because finding someone to have sex with , is a lot easier to find , over actually meeting someone that actually truly loves and cares about you , that wants to stand by your side , and loves you for you. Sadly A lot of selfish people think someone is wasting their time , devoting themselves to just one person , instead of living a life of hooking up and sleeping with random people whenever it’s convenient for them. Selfish people are not meant for relationships period, and should never be in a relationship with anyone period , because they only care about themselves and what benefits they can receive from someone , without having to give back the same in return , Also most people in general have very high preferences of what they will accept and not accept into their lives especially when it comes to seeking an actual partner to fall in love with , why having very high preferences will make it a lot harder for them to actually find an amazing partner, because nobody on this planet is a perfect person period. I blame social media for brainwashing people into thinking this way , why so many long lasting relationships are now ending , and they are mainly ending for selfish reasons , people thinking grass is greener on the other side. Instead of just watering the grass they are already standing on with each other. A lot of people monkey branch to someone else , when things don’t go their way with their current relationship , because most people can’t admit that they are wrong , it’s always someone else that is wrong , but never themselves. A relationship will only last, is if both people choose each other always and make each other their top priority , but sadly a lot of people can not do that because they only think about what is best for themselves and compare their lives to their lives and relationships all the time , so nothing is ever truly good enough to them I can’t tell you how many girls’ I have hooked up with and slept with that pretty much lied to my face that she was single , when really she wasn’t , I have slept with taken girls’ and married women a good amount of time to the point it is now harder for me to fully trust a girl right away, why I no longer rush into relationships with girls’ until her and I really get to know each other and see the big picture together. I will be FWB’s with some strings attached with a girl to give her and I time to really
Get to know each other and to really make sure that this is what we both want before we decide to be in a long term relationship with each other. So until I find an actually honest loyal girl, my ass is staying single until then. I was married to a girl for 20 years that I thought i was going to spend the rest of my life with and she is the mother of our children and now that the kids’ are older , she decided she now wants to be single and do whatever her selfish heart desires I knew I could t force her to stay with me so I am now single and being selfish as well until I find the right girl. Society has pretty much went to hell in a hand basket , because of how selfish people have become.

Is it seen as that. The quality of women has never been lower, their requirements have never been higher. I feel sorry cause I see all these young guys at the gym in tip top shape and then you see them walking down the street with some wildebeast a guy with a beer belly wouldn't have looked at in the 00s.

As a high value i do have no trouble getting women if I wanted women. Im just comparing what is on the dating market and women's requirements from when I was in my teens and twenties. Back then a guy in his teens or early twenties could pull a solid 9 with some cheeky banter at a nightclub and take her for a coffee the next day. Now a guy to pull a 4 needs to pay for her drinks, her meal, her hair, her make up , her dress just to watch her play with her phone and if he's lucky she will let him f*ck her obese body.

@Just_Ken guess the question is who asked you to do that. The question says why is this the golden era for single men. You're telling me that you get women but are making an argument thats its much harder. Perhaps you need to pay for hair make up etc, but guys like me aren't doing that and are getting laid by a different women every night, if you're unable to do that then you need to raise your value if you are then it means you agree with the statement.

Point is that its not a golden era for single men, its really a dark age. The golden age was probably the 60s, 70s or 80s before aids where the average guy could easily get with any of the abundance of attractive feminine women that were in shape.

@Just_Ken Hell no. In those days guys had to deal with women one at a time and there were a million stigmas on women having casual sex. Today between bars, online dating social media, festivals etc there are so many ways to attract women. I literally sometimes forget the names of the girls im banging. Its unfortunate that its so tough for you but it's so easy to get women these days its unbelievable. You just have to try to level up a bit I guess.
