Do you really own your home when the government can seize it if you don’t pay them whatever property taxes they demand or are you just a tenant?

You do. But as we are seeing in liberal cities that if governments federal, state or local determine you own a home in a nice place that you and other residents have made so they raise property taxes. Same if you own a home with a nice view of the beach or mountains or forest. Yuppies decide they want to live there and local authorities with corporations try to push locals out that have lived and worked all their lives.

real owner that is why we pay tax. only the owner must pay tax. it is a tax not rent payment.

What's the difference? What property rights do you have to the property if it can be confiscated by the government if you refuse to pay?

We are leasing land from the government. So no. We don’t technically own our homes.
