Why are American geniuses weakening?

a study in 2018 found: in all ages- the most intelligent ones took longer or failed tasks, that the most intelligent ones succeeded in 2008.

to simplify this idea i assigned symbolic numbers. those succeeding in 2008 - i will label as more: 116 (the test did not give iq scores of 100-115 so i assigned the high number 116 to simplify the change.)

i chose 116 due to iq tests got prepared based on previous tests, in a way that average intelligence will show as 100. the test allows for variations and imperfections so between 90-110 is all average intelligence. that is 'good acceptable'. while more intelligence is very good 116, or better: genius.

but the study in 2018 found that those most intelligent in 2018 among all ages: whether born in 2001 or 1991- were unable to do tasks that the geniuses in 2008 succeeded.

in simple terms if we put the geniuses of the 2018 test, on the 2008 scale range for test, the score would be 112 on the older 2008 test! significantly less than the geniuses in 2008.

Composite "ability scores" across age, education, and gender found declining scores across age and demographics in other domains of cognitive ability.'

this showed the 'best' in 2018 were weaker than the best in 2008. and on the same scale would score 112 which is less than 116.

still despite all ages got weaker, yet: The steepest slopes occurred for ages 18–22.' gasp!

people born in 1988, testing at age 20 in 2008 had more intellect than people born in 1998 age 20 in 2018. it was a larger slope down than other ages. those tested later and found genius, still were weaker in tasks so put on the scale of the 2008 test would score 112= less than genius due to struggling at tasks that those tested in 2008 succeded. but why-

public schools have been failing American students for years and after Covid they have really taken a nose dive, I teach computer science at a state college and my student are the ones going to grade school during the 2 years of online learning. It is obvious that it has been a spectacular failure.

Not only are the public schools failing but colleges have to dumb down the curriculum to retain students. It is no wonder that professional people are not performing a the levels that did 10 or 20 years ago.

Because the school system is failing. They want to teach stupid woke or gender ideology instead of reading, writing, arithmetic and problem solving. This is why Trump is breaking up the board of education. Having one national BOE telling all the schools you have to teach this and you have to teach that means all schools fail together. With no national governance each state can do what they please and that’s when you will see red states doing better than blue states. Then we can ask the question…. Why?
