Why aren't Americans into smart things?

America is a very developed country but mostly thanks to the people who came from outside. Why aren't Americans into smart things such as coding, engineering, developing etc.

This isn't an "America" thing. This is a "humanity" thing.

Please stop trying to assume America is somehow dumber than the rest of humanity. It isn't. People in Sweden, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, and Japan are just as retarded as America, and the US of A is just as "smart" as the rest of the world. Trust me.

But the TL;DR to your question: Infrastructure. The US is physically too big for all that stuff; things like high speed internet, magnet railways, and CCTV surveillance. That's why it only flourishes in small countries.

Where do you get such ideas? The US is a technology leader. It does vast amounts of engineering, science and programming. The vast majority are Americans, not outsiders who just moved here.

On the other hand, the average American had family who immigrated three generations ago. That's what the country is. You have to consider the kind of people who would uproot everything and move to another country vs people who don't. I can only speculate what those differences are, but the ones who moved are the ancestors of Americans.

We live in a diverse country. Not everyone can be a Einstein. We need people in every sector.

The US is a country based on necessity, and the power of innovation. It has its ebbs and flows.

Consider civilian space travel. All other countries are still relying on a limited to military program to get into space.

Americans have made more inventions in a couple hundred years than all other countries did in thousands of years. Not as many lately with our ruined society, but in the past America had created so much that the others will likely never catch up.

Because it´s hard work with a low chance of success. Many startup companies and ideas fail pretty soon because you have work hard before results are showing up.
