I personally think empathy is a weakness and exploitable but showing lack of it lets you appear like a monster no matter how cute you might look. That's why showing any negative emotions isn't smart. Especially laughing about someone loss is probably most idiotic thing a person can, unless you want an enemy who has a justified reason to kill you.
