Not only US, entire humanity never has seen such a strategic genius. XD
Without sarcasm. US started a war, there was zero chance to win it politically. Now it comes out, it's even a militarily disaster.
What will happen next? Gulf states will look for another protector and pimp, since their income in depending in 60% on oil trade over this strait, with exception of UAE that can sell oil over Medina-Jeddah pipeline that leads to Red Sea.
Gulf states will have to pay to Iran to keep oil sell stable. Iran will turn this money in more influence in region. It's basically over for petrodollars right now, this makes USD less valuable as backup currency.
Sooner or later Israel will get in real trouble.
US could try to size coast along Hormuz strait but this landing will be a slaughter and probably too expensive to keep it in US hand.
High oil price and weapon sales to Gulf states are good for US but losing hegemony in middle east is bad, very bad. Because it causes a chain reaction effect to other regions.
Time plays for advance of Iran and they will wait until Donald presidency is over.
Oh please, it's not even over.
The Iranian regime will collapse in 2027, and you fools will find some other fake story to spin.
The US and Israel wooped Iran's ass. This is why it resorted to economic terrorism. Now it's economy collapses.
If you haven't noticed. The war has only seen 50+ days of combat since February.

Iran is in turmoil. Its economy. has collapsed. It has alienated itself. It is suffering political fracture.
Lay off the MSM.
Go to the actual source.
“We’re rounding the corner” 2.0
We’ve been at this for 100+ days, with no end in sight due to Israel.
Everytime Donald Trump is about to strike a deal, Israel comes in and blackmails him. Epstein was involved in Middle East high officials so, it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s some dirt to grab him by the balls.
1st Deal struck was reparations, Iran has a right to produce missiles, Donald Trump signed the agreement, and no more sanctions also we give full control of The Strait of Hormuz to the Iranians. Israel attacked.
2nd Deal was so close until Israeli Intelligence claimed to Donald Trump that a shoulder fire missile was aiming at his plane so, he left his White House press pool to die on his Airforce One as he went on the decoy with The Human Printer, Kegsbreath, and a few loyalists. Spoiler Alert: There was no threat because no arrests made, no investigations as to who had the fire missile and it originated from Israel.
The same country that blew up a school of 160+ school girls with Donald Trump which kicked off this war to begin with.
Israel has blackmail and leverage over Donald Trump and that’s why we can’t get out of this groundhog’s day.
Which is similar to what happened during Covid19. He pushed back urgent meetings on how to fight against the possibility of a pandemic then once it came to our shores, he pretended it didn’t exist or was a threat. “We’re rounding the corner”, “as the summer comes the heat will take care of it”. He even praised Fauci at the time for his work and put Mike Pence in charge of Covid19 Pandemic to attempt to put the blame on him for his failed leadership.
Bah hah hah ha hahhhh... clown boy should've listened to the real military strategists and foreign advisors before laying his wiggly worm on the chopping block. Now the troops and the people of both nations will suffer. Actually it's taking a toll on the rest of the world in oil availability as well... great for PR there tRumplethinskin.
By the way have you seen any images of the supposed meals being served on the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier? Appalling, and they've been out for 9 months now. Some of the sailors have tried to end it all by jumping overboard. tRump and Hegseth say they haven't been out there long enough.
Don't worry friend.
After the regime collapses, you will find something else to batch about

@FrodoSkywalker007 Boomer propaganda works on the young ones too, huh? How's your affordable gas, housing and food working out for you?
@SixFootSexy it's cheaper than Biden. Gas is $4 my area. My rent is $600. I'm well fed.
Any other questions? Or are you going to continue being uneducated?
@SixFootSexy if you want a comparison.
Let's look at gas?
During Trumps first term threy averaged $2.40, and saw a low of $1.84 in April due to the pandemic.
When Biden took office, they increased due to the pandemic recovery. It saw a historical high of $5.02 in June of 2022 due to the Ukraine invasion. He left office with $3.12
Trump in his second term saw prices of $3.00 to $3.10 until the Iran War, which brought them to $4.00. Currently at $3.86 I believe.
Food prices under Biden raised by 20%. Under Trump it's been am annual increase of 3.4%

www.macrotrends.net/3591/us-gasoline-prices
Is that too Boomer for you?
I don't even like Trump
I dislike the propaganda being spewed and the brain dead on both sides.
@FrodoSkywalker007 Let me know when you get wise to the fact that both sides don't give a flying **** about either of us and will continue to brown nose the banker/Epstein class as evidenced by the lack of justice and fruitless wars. Waiting for Fauci to get the chair for his corruption and many lies, but he won't.
8 trillion and 20 years in Afghanistan and what did the American people receive for it? Do you really think it'll be different this time, big brains?
@SixFootSexy had to check renting prices as well. Much higher under Biden 🤔
www.wral.com/.../
Seems I disproved you rather quick.
@SixFootSexy you are not dealing with some brain dead gag user. Most people on here have little idea of what they talk about. No better than a bunch of redditors who love their echo chamber.
I'm only interested in truth.
Not what your echo chamber tells you.
Become informed and then return.
@SixFootSexy Exactly. CONSTANT deployment means big money for suppliers, and the billionaires and stockholders in the various companies of the war machine, including everyone from Boeing to Honeywell, to Raytheon to Lockheed Martin, to Grumman and General Dynamics.
The defense contractors get bloated rich on our taxpayer money, and morons on here are worried that Fauci did something? LMFAO. Magats are such fucking idiots, it's not even worth talking to them.
Aww Longnails ♥
Still have me blocked?
Let me read what you've said 😉
@FrodoSkywalker007 He basically said war is a racket, and it is. Only people benefiting from this is the defense contractors, everyone from Boeing to Honeywell, to Raytheon to Lockheed Martin, to Grumman and General Dynamics.
It's the most baseless reason to start a war, the US propaganda saying the regime in Iran are the greatest enemy. Even though Muslims run rampant through immigration and we do nothing about all the sleeper cells here. it's stupid AF because the troops know we are fighting this war for the Epstein class, money and Israel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC56Ltg5zDE
So imagine Iranian regime falls, how does this help average Americans whatsoever? This is where the pro-war group has no real answer. It's a money hole for taxpayer dollars.
@SixFootSexy 🤦♂️
oh I don't know, eliminating a regime that has killed Americans for decades. A regime that causes instability through it'd proxies.
What about Qatar?

@FrodoSkywalker007 political theater then, just assume every war and all inflation is there to screw you over and you'll be a lot better off. Unless you're a Rothchild, then just keep shilling for your Epstein war. =)

@katiesmuff Some people just don't care about the truth. I refuted nearly every one of his claims and he still wants to be a contrarian. Can't help stupid.
@SixFootSexy refuted economic realities?
You literally changed the topic to "well they are all bad"
Good job 😂
@SixFootSexy you might even have noticed I agreed with much of your later claims? 😂
Go through the convo again
@SixFootSexy I know. Im not a Republican. I seek truth only. Not BS
🤷♂️
Your simply upset the convo didn't go where you wanted. You wanted MAGA, you got a centrist who dislikes both sides, and handles only truth
@katiesmuff is upset her ass has been beat so badly she launches personal attacks. No substance 🤷♂️
Bloviating:
To bloviate means to speak or write at great length in a pompous, boastful, and empty manner, using many words without saying anything of real substance...
When incapable of debating the topic, resort to personal attacks or attacks on the words themselves
Such a classic! 🤦♂️ 🤷♂️
@FrodoSkywalker007 Your checking must of been done in the sewer you live in as for the rest of the US they are up as much as 20% in the last couple of years along with general housing prices.
@katiesmuff not even sure what part of the conversation you are attempting to reply to.
Must have hurt you badly 🤷♂️
Well, he’s gonna do to us how he ran his business. Bankrupt us all.
Thank You for MHO 💗

I think it is best to review as actions dispassionately. Particularly as Trump is polarizing and his personality, and peoples assessment of that either way should not be a factor in geopol. With respect, the framing of the question shows a lot of partisanship that is negative for objectivity.
Firstly I need to say I see the world as being much the same as it was just before WW2. Autocratic powers trying to seize control. Hitler seized Austria, Putin tries for Ukraine whilst Xi eyes Taiwan.
So my world view is we are on the cusp of WW3 and if the West is not careful it could be subjugated.
Were you are in the world is going to influence your perspective. I am in the eastern hemisphere so China is of more concern to me whilst I would expect Western Europe to be more concerned with Moscow. Though London and Paris are closer to Beijing than Melbourne is.
Overall, the last three administrations did facilitate Ukraine resisting Russia's invasion. Not as fulsomely as perhaps they might. Also Europe has been forced to rearm. Clearly on the positive side of the ledger.
Panama and Venezuela have been detached from China. clearly good for the US. Iran does not appear to be a great success but a geopol success doesn't need to be a strategic military wipe out. At a minimum it has impaired Iran's ability to be a nuclear power and to dominate the middle east. It has also illustrated the fragility of China's oil supply.
I don't how China could expect the US and Europe to continue to buy their shit in the event of a hot war but I would think the trade wars will have disabused them of that concept. It is also started the shifting of manufacturing out of China into South Asia and South East Asia.
So I would rate the US response to the Russia/Iran/China axis to be far better than the European response to Hitler. I think you have to slot in Iran as a component that is indivisible to the response to the new axis of evil.
The direct military cost to the U. S. is between $34 and $42 billion. But the real problem lies elsewhere: the depletion of missile and interceptor stocks, which will take years to replenish.
Beyond that, the bill is getting bigger for everyone — including the United States, but especially its European and Asian allies. Between soaring energy prices, emergency fiscal support, surging freight and insurance costs, the entire supply chain is coming under strain.
The key issue is the Strait of Hormuz.
The strait was operating normally before the war; today, the situation there is anything but normal. As a result, Europe (which is heavily dependent on gas) and Asia’s industrial economies (which rely heavily on hydrocarbons from the Gulf) are taking the shock head-on.
The Americans are somewhat more insulated, but public opinion is increasingly starting to bristle at the economic fallout.
For Washington’s Asian allies, the ripple effect directly affects their security. CSIS makes the point clearly: the 400 Tomahawk missiles ordered by Japan could be delayed because Washington is prioritizing the replenishment of its own stocks, due to the enormous expenditure of missiles against Iran. That represents a very significant strategic opportunity cost.
As for Iran’s nuclear program, the outcome is, frankly, mixed. The objective was to prevent Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, but Trump merely slowed the program down; he did not destroy it. On one hand, there is physical damage and political commitments; on the other, there are stocks of enriched uranium, preserved know-how, untouched underground facilities, and an international monitoring system that has become increasingly shaky.
War is expensive, there is no doubt of that, and even in 1066 in Norman invasion of England mercenaries and adventurers were recruited.
Certainly missile stocks had to take a hit in Iran.
I'd see both as influences on geopol whilst blocking the flow of oil as more a geopol play.
The US has said for some time that it cannot fight Russia & China (and Iran too in reality) at the same time. It is not necessarily a poor strategy to take out two of the legs of a three legged stool.
Mostly I think it is better to remove the politicians names because putting Biden or Trump is apt to produce visceral reactions more than objective ones.
I agree with your broader point that geopolitical analysis should be separated from personalities, and that weakening an adversary does not require its complete military destruction.
Where I disagree is on the assumption that weakening Iran automatically improves America's overall strategic position. The relevant question isn't just whether Iran has been weakened, but whether Tehran was weakened more than Washington and its allies were strategically burdened in the process.
Iran isn't just a third leg of a stool you can knock out at low cost. This conflict consumes the exact high-end munitions, interceptors, industrial capacity, and executive bandwidth that the US needs for deterrence in the Indo-Pacific.
From Beijing's perspective, watching the US burn through critical stockpiles in the Middle East while Western allies absorb energy and supply-chain shocks is a strategically favorable scenario.
Weakening a secondary adversary is only a sound strategy if the cost of doing so doesn't undercut your ability to deter the primary one. That is the real trade-off here.
We aren't a great distance apart on any of these points. I am very curious on what is your high level view.
Do you see the late 2020's as similar to the late 1930s with autocratic powers wanting to dominate by military power? I am not trying to suggest the 'West' hasn't as the Cold War was clearly a military struggle.
I don't see that weakening Iran as a cost free gain for the US by any means. Munitions expenditure clearly weakens the US and there is gain only if it weakens Iran and dissuades China from being adventuresome in the Indo-Pacific.
In many ways it is a dice roll. Without clear and unambiguous military supremacy it always is I think. I would see it as an unavoidable dice roll. If the US cannot military wipe out China, Russia, & Iran than it needs to try to militarily deal with them individually. Like preventing two enemy armies joining in Napoleons day.
Fortunately Russia has dealt itself out in Ukraine and the US can interdict China's oil supply lines.
I don't think we view matters that differently.
He's handled it poorly. Too many pauses and talks. The war would have been over months ago if he allowed the military to fight.
In over 150 days, he has only allowed them to fight over 50.
Imagine spending 2/3 of the war talking. Especially, with a nation like Iran, which is notorious for breaking agreements.
My opinion is he thought he could achieve his objectives with limited strikes. That's clearly not going to happen.
He is likely keeping it low scale until after midterms, where he will have 2 years to resolve the issue.
I believe regime change is the only option. Trump has been hesitant to accept that reality.
You misunderstood. Trump is "pulling punches" to keep iran to small attacks. He warned them: the more trouble you do- the more you get hit. So that deter iran from invading kuwait. They continued war but small so they don't get crushed.
Trump is not "hesitant to accept that reality" he wanted the citizens to do regime change but most iranians agreed with government. That is why no regime change.
@strateguy632 most Iranians support regime change

I think some historians might disagree with your assessment.
Washington led the American colonists to victory over the British, and then led the country through 8 years of peace and prosperity.
Lincoln reunited a divided nation while leading the North to a military victory in teh American civil war.
Eisenhower led the Allies to victory over the Nazis, and then led the US to one of the most prosperous 8 years in its history.
We also had Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett of the Alamo fame, and other things. We had Alvin York, WW I and little ol' Audie Murphy in WWII, being the most decorated soldier in American history. He became a movie star and Freemason of the 33 1/3. He died in a plane crash at about 47. He was from right up the road from me.
Of course I'm impressed. Have the results been perfect? Of course not, but it beats the heck out of sitting around complaining that 'something needs to be done', and then complaining even more when someone finally does it. We've also sustained virtually no casualties.
Oh yes, tariffs going back to corporations, gas prices and inflation running SUPER high. Please, tax us harder and use more flock surveillance, small govt, no-new-wars, drain-the-swamp, AIPAC-lovin, GOP geniuses! Love that for us Americans!
AmAZiNg, BiLLiAnt StraTeGist!
I guess the American military did what it was supposed to do. I think Trump should have just finished them off. Bomb all the power plants, bridges and water infrastructure. Instead he engaged in empty threats.
This should have been done a month ago.
I guess you have not been paying attention, l but every time there is protest over there, 1000’s of people disappear. We have the resources and technology to cripple their military without killing civilians or punishing them by cutting off their water and power. Please tell me that you’re not so fucking stupid trust you cannot differentiate between a country’s civilians and the regime that controls them with a reign of terror
" I guess the American military did what it was supposed to do." -- WTF does that mean? LOL
Wait, are you disagreeing with your HERO? Could it be the greatest, drunken, military mind in history, Pete Hegseth, had no clue what the fuck he was doing, nor did Trump?
I don't you so much anymore trying to defend all the reports from the ships about the conditions on them. I don't hear you claiming "that's bullshit". Maybe because it's true, huh?
I don't hear you so much anymore now that Trump's own legions are bailing on him.
I don't hear you so much anymore when women who had there noses up his ass, like KKKaroline, finally bailing out because he left her to be a target.
Hopefully the rapist will be in prison soon, if he lives that long.
@exitseven
Firstly you don't have enough interceptors and other AD for that. Iran would retaliate and the arab states are more reliant on desalination plants than Iran.
Also that wouldn't remove their ability to wage the war nor would it remove China's and Russia's ability to supply them.
@Pohjolan @Staximus @exitseven

I could take Iran down in 3 days, tops.
For starters, I don't believe in Geneva Convention, least of all when dealing with Terrorists like the Iranians who deliberately maximize civilian deaths in Israel and elsewhere through their proxy terror cells.
If I were prosecuting a war against Iran, as I've said elsewhere, I'd hit their oil refineries and their water desalination plants, and then we'd see how long they last without energy and water.
@SeekerOfTruth007

Obviously a rival of the greatest strategic minds in American history, like Wiley Coyote, Elmer Fudd, and Alfala from the Little Rascals. Julie, as you are French, these great names might not mean anything to you, but trust me when I say, they are revered.
I imagine he's done better than the alternative, Kamala Harris with that liberal freak she had running with her. No, he isn't perfect, just human who tries his best and would like to spare innocent lives where possible. I remember from history how France was with America from the start. Of course they hated Britain and as the saying goes, the enemy of our enemy is our friend.
I'm impressed that anyone can be THAT fucking stupid and still remember to breathe occasionally.
Yes specificly* the blockade as a result and its results. also negotiations that deter iran from doing major attacks. Iran wants a "low flame war" but that just lengthens time we blockade them!
Definitely not. Got suckered in, not a good listener for the risks… and now stuck. A binch of waste.

Yes. Although I would have never given a diplomatic pause. I’dve kept bombing and invaded till they cried uncle
The diplomatic pause was critical to define expectations and make contracts that iran -as expected violated with violence.
I think you posted the incorrect picture. That is definitely not the greatest genius or strategist the US has ever known
He has made a mess of that war, but he shouldn't have started it in the first place. It will not end until the midterms.
