What simple question made you rethink creativity, fashion, and life?

My post was about how concept dressing fading. One of the comments asked about the decline of creativity in the last 15 years. 15 years doesn't seem like a big number for humanity, but I think people thrive off of inspiration, and 15 years is a big number for me.
What was i doing 15 years ago? Did I care about creativity and fashion? Nope, I had too much on my mind to care about color. In fact, I was still in uniform. 10 years ago? I was coping day to day, trying to stay alive. Fine, how about 5 years ago? We just started going out again. And for me personally, I had to go back inside. OK, what about 2 years ago? I had time to get inspiration, but no money, energy, or circumstance to test out my style. Im new to this, but still wondered why society is so mundane. It's probably because everyone's just trying to survive.
