Hmmm... consider the idea the whole kakistocracy isn't really as out of touch as they portray themselves to be, but they've been instructed to maintain the facade or else? I believe they think it's some sort of cleanse or purge that will kill off all the weak, poor folk for starters. Beyond that, they have no cognition about who will be left to feed the money making machine.

Obviously Trump himself is delusional and has serious mental issues, but he makes a great poster child and puppet. If you listen closely to some of the others around him, like Miller & Todd Blanche, they sound more consciously evil than out of touch. Remember too, you can be insane and still be highly intelligent. Just because these guys are pricks, it doesn't mean they're all dumb, like Trump.

Because they both refuse to admit it and view wall street doing good as everyday Americans doing good. Democrats did the same thing, refusing to admit everyday Americans who aren't wall street were struggling was one of the major reason Harris lost
