Not anymore. I believed it for most my life. Now i know it doesn't matter how much you stack it up, life will cut it down. I'm about 4 to 6 years away from reaching a million and it won't be enough. By the time i get to 1.2 million, it won't be enough. I project 1.5 to possibly 2 miilion within 10 years. And that's if the market holds. And i expect it won't be enough.

And frankly, i just don't care anymore. You reach a point in life where you realize most of your life is burned and you just don't want to do society little dance anymore. The right job, clothes, car friends, all the trappings of life. You can keep it i do not give a 💩 anymore. I just want quality time with loved ones. But they're all too busy fighting Unlce Sam over a dollar that in 10 to 15 years. they going to realize won't pay for what they need anyhow. They don't want to focus on retirement because they're not ready. They just don't realize in 10-15 they still won't be ready. They'll just be 10 to 15 years. Older and more broken in a world that squeezes ever drop of use out of you then tells you you didn't plan well enough. Even though they were changing the rules the entire time to make it impossible for you to succeed. I assume at 22 you're still healthy. Wait till you see the cost of healthcare when you reach my age. You're generation is F***ed! I'm not saying give up. I'm simply saying save a little bit, but above all enjoy the ride of life. Life is like golf. It's a game that can't be won, only played.
