Did you know about China Tobacco?

[Lynx122]

If you stack cigarettes from the Earth to the sun you'd need about 2.14 trillion cigarettes to reach the sun. In China in one year they smoke 2.3-2.5 trillion cigarettes so you could reach past the sun lmao.
Every second around 76 000 cigarettes are lit in China. Almost half of the entire worlds cigarettes are smoked in China. And the company that sells all those cigarettes is state owned China Tobacco one of the bigest companies in the world that nobody really knows about.

Around 7% of the Chinese governments revenue comes just from this company. It can fund the entire Chinese military.

It's just random facts but it was interesting to me.

Peace

Chinese Kindergarten teacher: "Now kids, we make a cigarette break for our soldiers"

[EmmaMary]

Well you certainly learn something new every day! lol

[EmmaMary]

Thank you for the MHO.

[OlderAndWiser]

Interesting that the CCP profits on killing its own people.

[Agape93]

And they've already shown traces of human shit in almost all Chinese cigarettes:/ delightful.

[Shiprex]

I have never heard of it and I lived in that country for 8 years

[midnightmoon05]

What was your experience like?

[Lynx122]

Yeah they never mention the company they only advertise the different brands of cigarettes they make.

[midnightmoon05]

Can you tell if the Chinese government is trying to expand their sales and encourage their people to smoke or if they are working on restricting cigarette smoking in public places?

[Shiprex]

@midnightmoon05 I liked living and working there. The people are very different but unusually curious and very friendly BUT there is always someone around that might try to rip you off and locals will intervene often to stop them. It felt safe and not too expensive to live. Food was exceptionally good and buying and cooking your own was super cheap.

[Shiprex]

@midnightmoon05 Smoking was common though I think some folk were getting on top of making it less acceptable especially indoors and public spaces.

[strateguy632]

Wow! And think of ALL THAT smoke so much! added to the "no law limits" pollution from industry.

[strateguy632]

Of course as a nerd i must ask stack up or stack =?

[strateguy632]

Hey it removed my symbol
Stack up l or stack on =

[Lynx122]

Stack end to end. If you stack them laying on top of each other then you'd need 10 times more cigarettes because they're about 10 times longer than they're wide :)

[Lynx122]

China has actually done a lot to adress pollution. The air is now a lot healthier.

[strateguy632]

but you JUST NOW SAID they smoke enuf cigarets to reach the sun- millions of miles away. that is lots of smoke!

[Lynx122]

Yes I know haha. But I meant like the industrial air pollution they've really improved that. And even the smoking people are starting to ban smoking in restaurants and stuff even with the tabacco company doing what they can to stop any change.

[exitseven]

I wonder what they taste like. ? They do not export them to thr US. I bet they are horrible.

[Lynx122]

They do actually export all over the world but not always legally lol

[Dargil]

We should ship all of our tobacco to China so that they smoke, did and preserve world peace.

[Lynx122]

great plan XD

[NathanDavis]

I guess I know, now... lol

[Anonymous]

Nope
