Might be a stupid question, but would you rather live in a highrise apartment or a townhome?

I enjoy going to high-rise restaurants and places that give wonderful views of the area, and I pay for the privilege, so my choice must be the high-rise apartment.

Recently I went to a hotel, and my room was on the 5th floor, the highest of any of the surrounding buildings.

In the morning I could see for miles and I wondered about the distant places, and at night I was thrilled to see all the area lit up, and the flashing lights of distant high structures.

The apartments I'm interested in are the ones with a restaurant, leisure facilities etc. I wouldn't want to live in one of the many eyesore high-rise apartments that are cheap accommodation for people.

In my town you have to drive everywhere in negative 40 temperature. So car and parking wise hometown is easier.

I've heard of large apartments on top of a Costco. Lot of compromises but a net benefits if I can change what I even consider bad habits now. I also accept new bad in that new habitat. Still net benefits. That would be something sweet.

Townhome definitely. But I would be okay to stay in a high rise apartment temporarily.

I'll take the high-rise. Everyone I know in a town home has neighbors nagging them about every tiny thing. At least a high-rise is usually built a little more robust. You can be louder without bothering anyone and there's enough people that you're not gonna get in trouble over nothing as easily

Neither. I like my privacy and my freedom. Single family home on an acre of land with similar homes in the entire neighborhood. Like where I live now.
