Does talking to people on the internet make you feel like you have an audience or real friends?

It makes me feel like I'm exchanging ideas and opinions with other people. Friends? Sure, in a way. People I could probably hang with over a beer or a glass of wine. But we're strung out all over the planet and we'll likely never meet in person.

But most days it make me appreciate that my real friends are basement dwelling troglodytes completely out of touch with reality
