Why do people praise violent “instant karma” over peaceful conflict resolution?

Stories about how a Karen got slapped by someone for running her mouth gets praised by others. All of the sudden many people are commenting how that teaches her a lesson, how they would also slap her, etc. Honestly, it takes no effort to lose self-control and react like an animal over words. Anyone can do that. Why is that even praised?

However, stories about peaceful conflict resolution, longer process of operant conditioning and emotional regulation tends to get overlooked and people want the easy route of using physical force even though much better results can be obtained by taking the longer route. But why is that many people like hearing stories about someone getting beaten into submssion over someone that only would get physical in a real self-defense situation but is into regulating emotions?
