I don't know about you, but I'd call the government welfare system a TOTAL FAILURE. After 80 years we have the highest percentage of people on welfare EVER... ONE IN THREE PEOPLE. And YOU, the ones who are NOT collecting it are the ones paying for it. Isn't it time to kick this failed socialist debacle to the curb?

Because Democrats destroyed the family unit through abortion and homosexuality and other offenses, and so we now have millions and millions of dead-beat parents who refuse to work to support their illegitimate children.
When you tell everyone, "life is a free lunch", they expect not only a free lunch, but a free cookie and a free glass of milk to go with it.
If you saw how unfair it is to work in a tax office, and white clients pay thousands and tens of thousands in taxes every year, but black customers get an $8000 EIC/Welfare check from the government every year, I find that CRIMINAL.
My sister is a Nurse Paralegal, and she pays more money in taxes every year than I've ever actually managed to earn in a single year. I'm not lying, and I put in overtime. Meanwhile, the average black "tax filer" does not pay taxes, but rather gets paid by the government to raise their children. It's insane, because they are basically taking my sister's paycheck and giving it to strangers and dead-beats.
I generally don't like generalizations. 🤣
But unfortunately they are sometimes accurate.
The welfare system as it was implemented during the Johnson Administration rewards women for not getting married and the more illegitimate kids they have , the more money they get. Eventually these people see it as the family business. My wife has a cousin who is a welfare queen. She has 5 kids from 4 different guys and never married any of them. Her father owns a big two family house and she lives in half of it and the father gets a section 8 check every month. The last time I saw her was at her father's funeral. she was showing us pix of her latest trip to Disney world.
These people live in areas of high crime and poor schools. They really have no incentive to get off welfare because any job they get will not pay as much as the taxpayers give them.
We are on the 3rd and 4th generation of welfare people. They never knew what having a job meant and spent their whole lives living off of other peoples' work.
@RingOfFire When I sold police equipment there was a company that made the boots for motorcycle cops. They also made custom made orthopedic shoes. After the Soviet Union dissolved there ware many Russian nationals who immigrated to America. They were told if they had foot problems they could get a pair of orthopedic shoes. There was a doctor that would sign off on anyone that wanted a free pair of shoes.
Soon all these Russians started coming in with vouchers for shoes. Thee shoes were custom made and cost $350 which was a lot back in the 1990s.
The shop owner notices that they were all Russian and none of them had any foot problems. Even though this guy was making a lot of money from this he called the welfare office to complain. He was told to mind his own business and make the shoes.
Eventually the whole thing ended up in the newspapers. They blamed it all on the shopkeeper. Within a year they had put him out of business.
Whenever you have these apologist dogooders involved in a government program who tell you that they are doing it for the chiiiiiiiildren, watch out, the corruption in these programs both from the people in the public AND from the people who run the programs is out of control. Probably half at least of the welfare system is pure fraud. The question is whether or not we are going to allow it to bring down the entire economy, because sooner or later it will.
90% of the welfare system is fraud.
Perhaps some culling is in order but we can't have nothing for a safety net. It is successful in areas with the honest person but I'm certain a third is not honest.
I am all for programs that help people who truly need it. And that should include a requirement for all able-bodied people who are collecting welfare paid for by taxpayers to do public service work that saves taxpayers' money to help pay them at least some of it back, like cleaning parks and other kinds of basic work. No able bodied person should get a dime unless they are doing that and also can prove they are making an honest effort to find a permanent job to support themselves. And even then there should be a time limit on the welfare payments.
I agree, if able bodied they can do something while trying to find a job.
I have no objection to chipping in to help people who are so severely disabled that they are unable to work.
And I think all the ones who are defrauding the welfare system are stealing from those who legitimately need it. They are scum.

good point. it does not help. cancel it except for physical disability.
Because importing the lazy from countries where they'd be left on the street is a terrible thing
