They don't represent their states anymore they don't represent us anymore they do what they want to do and we keep allowing it by voting them in office that they don't even take care of they don't even do what they're supposed to do anymore
When's the last time you heard your congressman's or your senators name that they've done something good for your state you have it because they're all bought and sold they're there for vote to get things past for the people that run them the people that own them20 Reply

I prefer the honest, the loyal to govern my country. Both left and right in my country are corrupt traitors serving Israel/obeying the US, prioritising illegal migrants over honest locals.

8 dI mean…I’d preface it with “this is just based on overall ideology and agenda; this isn’t about any specific politician or party.” Lord knows, there’s not just going to be some guy or gal who comes along and “saves us.”
In fact, I think we get way too caught up in who the politicians are; it’s important to a degree, but I’m not in this for the charisma; I want people who will advance our society positively. If you’re voting for someone because they’re a good orator, or they’re funny, or they’re entertaining, or they’re good looking, or because of some way they make you feel, then you’re doing this all wrong. You shouldn’t be voting, frankly.
So, I’m in America, and here’s my #1 thing: we have a large portion of the population (and it’s something of a Venn diagram, depending on the issue in question) who are bigoted. That covers racism, misogyny, homophobia/transphobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism…. basically various “in-groups” who give varying levels of assorted and miscellaneous shit to various “out-groups.” And that, across the board, sucks, and needs to be a primary social focus, the eradication of that to the greatest extent we can control. Nothing else in society can or will work properly UNTIL that’s squashed and left in the trash. You’ll never get it to 100%, but what you absolutely CAN’T do, is just shrug and say “welp…. that’s just people for you.”
You need to max out all efforts to eradicate it, because not only is it incredibly harmful to the harmony of our society, but it’s also unbelievably idiotic and not founded in anything legitimate or sensible. There’s a whole cottage industry now just think-tanking ways to make these attitudes seem logical and well-founded, but anyone with a functioning brain and a decent heart can see right through that very transparent cloak. Bigots aren’t just going to say they’re bigots, usually; they’re almost always going to have some kind of cover, trying to give the facade of just being a reasonable person. You can’t ever fall for that.
Like as quick example: trans-women in sports. I’m not even necessarily a proponent of that; I have some questions from a safety or competitive standpoint, at least on a case to case basis…I just want the conversation to be respectful. It’s barely even a thing that happens…. its an exaggerated issue by the right that serves only as a jet stream for Republican politicians to fly in. This isn’t some real, rampant, pressing issue in our country, lmao. They’re just viscerally weirded out by trans people for whatever reason, but they get ostracized if they just go full-on transphobe, so this is their way to safely do it. The rest of us aren’t as stupid as they seem to think we are, lmfao. But the bottom line is that you’re either weird for caring so disproportionately much relative to the rate of occurrence, or you suck because you DON’T really care, but you just get some kind of thrill by giving trans people (who you probably don’t even know in your personal life) a hard time. Like you definitely suck for doing that, full stop. Or you’re a moron and you believe stupid shit about trans people.
In any case: bigoted, stupid, ignorant, or under religious psychosis: these are the exact kind of people I don’t want having a say in the general direction society is going. Those people, in my opinion, are dangerous and anti-social. It’s not just some innocent “difference in opinion.”
And that’s another thing I truly resent on the right…It is AUDACIOUS to hold some of the social beliefs they hold —which, I’m sorry, are just based in moral bankruptcy— and then they act indignant when the decent people are shocked and offended by said beliefs, and try to pass it off like it’s just some minor difference in opinion that the left just doesn’t have the ability to entertain because of some intellectual shortcoming or emotional weakness, lmfao, and that’s PREPOSTEROUS.

There are things in life that can just render you “a monster”, even just a worldview without action. There are mortal sins of character. And that’s what the right represents to me with their social beliefs and agenda: mortal sins of character. I think these are PROFOUNDLY bad people, and these transgressions are irredeemable, no matter who else you may positively be in life. And I feel like I’m be asked to just accept monsters among me. “Just don’t mention it and leave them alone.” Yet all these people do is fuck with other people, make it more difficult for them to live freely and comfortably. They also seem to believe they’re “the standard” and anything outside of them is a “deviation”…. just lmfao.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/lA_jv_5sf04I don’t know…the bottom line is that something dramatically shifted over the last 15-20 years, and it’s accelerated the past decade, and is in turbo mode right now…. and it’s just hate and ignorance and stupid, out loud, playing right in our faces. And that’s WEIRD. I’ve been alive (scarily) for nearing a half-century now…. this is the only time period where I haven’t been like “same as it ever was🤷♂️.” What’s going on now is ugly and it’s dangerous. And I blame our people for that as much, if not more so, than the politicians currently running things.
If you were hanging out with friends, and were figuring out what to do with the day…. if one of you suggests going fishing, a second suggests going out to eat, a third suggests going to the movies, and then your fourth friend says “let’s go to the playground and try to kidnap a little girl”…. pretty sure you’re going to quickly become a group of three. That’s some “we are not friends anymore, and get the fuck from ‘round me before we stomp the shit out of you”-level transgression.
And that’s how I view a lot of the right wing worldview. It’s up there with being a pedo, maybe just a rung down the ladder. But I wouldn’t let any kid I cared about be alone with either. That’s not me being closed-minded; that’s me recognizing that these people are trying to sneak in horrific stuff under the guise of a reasonable alternative worldview, based in “faith” or “family values”, and the hilarious misnomer “common sense”, and pretending to be surprised and offended when it’s rightly rejected immediately by decent society.I’m old enough to remember regular, boring politics. And there were always right wing douchebags in the sphere: Newt Gingrich, Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh in the media…I’m not JUST finding out that bigotry and irrational fear of “different” people are key components of the right wing worldview, lmao. But it’s gotten REALLY brazen, even just amongst the people. People saying things out loud that I never would’ve imagined hearing at any point of my life before this; now it’s like we suddenly regressed 75 years.
Anyway, just to try to wrap up…. put it this way: if the left got everything it wanted, our society would be inclusive, equitable, everyone’s basic needs would be met, we’d be better educated, we wouldn’t be slaves to billionaires, and I think a lot of these improvements would result in generating just better humans in general. Detractors will of course try to tell you this will result in some Stalinist nightmare, lmfao, but if there’s anything that’s been made abundantly clear to me in the last 11 years, it’s that we have no shortage of idiots here. That’s just words in the wind, mindless propaganda to convince us that we should really want this technocratic oligarchy we seem to be barreling towards. Don’t worry though: Elon, and Bezos, and Zuck will all take reeeaaaalllllll good care of you and only have your best interests in mind; they’re doing this all for YOU, remember😉
If the right got their way, we’d be bigoted, much less free, much less opportunity, we’d exist to work, our society would be imposed upon and steered by the beliefs of ONE religion, we’d probably see ethnic and cultural cleansing, probably walking around armed like the Wild West, and wildly immoral foreign policy based on hegemony and resource piracy. They want straight white Christian men to have pole position, and everyone else can fight for the scraps or take the rations they’re given; they feel some sort of entitlement to America, apparently.
And any recent attempts to just allow fairness and not just the assumed-merit of whiteness have been nefariously (and pathetically) framed as some sort of “assault” on what they seem to believe is a rightful order of things🙄🤦♂️
As Jon Stewart put it, they’re “expressing anger and victimization over the loss of absolute power and reframing it as persecution by minorities, freeloaders, and socialists.”
The right would have to do a COMPLETE 180 on their social views and moral values before I could ever engage in ACTUAL political discussion. I’m not politically opposed to the right; I’m morally appalled by them. I’m a better person than they are, fundamentally. THAT’S the disconnect. WE ARE NOT THE SAME.

Not extreme right but just right.
Mainly because I don’t enjoy being milked dry in taxes to fund financial aid programs to people who waste it on being lazy.
I believe in working and earning your keep.

8 dthe right at local level.
at the top, the right, but gosh dang, they both suck dont' they. If we had some good middle leaders, I'd prefer that. Take someone like Jamie Dimon, Ray Dalio to top positions and Rand Paul.
We, the world, is in a pickle of debt and power shift. We better be very careful, which we are not. I hope and pray people work together effectivelly, while our leaders screw everything to hell.
10 Reply 972 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's no longer a question of what people prefer, but rather what is necessary for the survival of the West. The regressive left doesn't build, create, invent or produce anything, other than envy, jealousy, phony racism/genderism and resentment. All they know how to do is tear things down and destroy them. Vote GOP or your country will D-I-E.
10 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I was 2 years old as last time left governed my country, since then it's right or ultra right. However people complain but general life quality, wealth and infrastructure increased massively since then. Unfortunately the debt either, it's around 60% of GDP currently.
10 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think we're one socialist government away from becoming a Muslamic country.
I kind of want it to happen for the laugh of it.
Even then, I don't think many of the people on this website would wake up. They are cucks after all.

8 d''Left'' and ''Right'' both are 'the System'.
Furthermore, ''I'' don't have a country - only a home place.
And 'they' will not touch that place.

10 Reply 5.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Left, but the important thing is to be able to choose.
And the stupid "left" parties that don't do anything for the workers are betraying everyone.
