I seem to remember Bush 2 doint the same thing. He did say that he was going to do this with the tarriff money. It sounds like a solid plan to put more money in the pockets of American citizens. If illegal aliens can collect up to $50,000 a year in benefits, why not give a little bit to the people that pay all the taxes.

yes in theory it would be legal by saying 'the result' does not show who voted what. so he could do the tax thing bush did that was legal because not identifying voters.

I did see this in my morning news feed. It was right at the top. What that article said is that he does not have the power alone to distribute that money. Congress would have to approve it. So it is unlikely that it would happen according to most.

The other issue that it brought up is that it would add another trillion plus to the deficit. They pointed out that any dividend from say the tariffs would be paid by tariffs, where as this would just straight up be adding to our debt.

The problem with collecting tariffs is that once the money goes into the trasury some politician will want o spend it on a pet project or on illegla laiens and nothing will go to paying down the debt. I would rather see 5 grand in my pocket.
