And many of them did scream about it being Socialism back then. I feel there is one important difference though. Biden knew that 50th seat allowed for budget reconciliation and it had already been discussed and agreed to amongst the Democrats in Congress. Trump is just throwing this out on his own. And If Republicans somehow held their current numbers in each chamber, this would not happen. And they’re very unlikely to do that anyway.

Biden sent everyone stimulus checks after Democrats won Georgia's senate race. Instead of sending us the promised $2000, he sent us $1400 and claimed with the $600 Trump sent we got the promised $2000.

I think there is both a qualitative and quantitative difference between offering people money directly to vote a certain way and offering people the endorsement of programs that will help them if they vote a certain way. I admit that the distinction is somewhat questionable, but it is a distinction.
