I love Canada and the Canadian people. They are our cherished neighbors. I've had friends there over the years. But like many other countries, after generations of America's generosity they have fallen into a pattern of just expecting it and taking it for granted at a cost to American taxpayers.

Trump is trying to change that dynamic, not to hurt Canadians but to reset their attitude to understanding and acknowledge what America has done for them all these years and to treat us with more respect and recognition in our international relationships both economic and policywise. This is more of a government issue than a people issue.

just contrast the difference trump is not changinging 'carney street' it is not personal it is lake ontario. but they make it personal no trump! "anything that's named for Donald Trump' they say that is too childish for any adult especially a diplomat.
