I have personally a Philippine friend and her sister was early 20s at the time and got married to a late 50s man he passed away around 60s

Many immigrant women consider their male love prospect as a functional stimulus that upholds or elevates the material and internal dynamics of her life, and they tend to bridge higher levels of personality and mind based attunements to their male partners and put less emphasis on their visual status or physical appeal. It is a strategically trained cultural discipline to ignore sexual ugliness in favour of functional compatibility. And that functional marriage migration might cross pollinate a slightly greater spectrum of biological age ranges, but it is not the most common choice. Most Filipino women marry men there age.

Not really. That’s more of a stereotype than a rule.

Some Filipino women do marry much older foreign men, and age gaps can sometimes be quite large. Your friend’s sister’s marriage is a real example of that, but it doesn’t mean Filipino women generally marry any foreign man regardless of age.

There can be many reasons for an age-gap relationship: genuine attraction, emotional connection, financial stability, immigration opportunities, or simply meeting someone they happen to love. And plenty of Filipino women marry Filipino men or foreign men close to their own age.

So I’d say your friend’s experience is believable, but I wouldn’t use it to describe Filipino women as a whole.
