Are people from the past much more resilient than people nowadays?

100 years ago, many kids grew up as orphans in orphanages. Disease was common so it was common for people to die young back then. Parents raised up to 8 kids under poverty. Bullying was a common, even normal thing. Therapy didn't exist. Often times, both parents worked full-time jobs while raising 5 kids. Somehow, they made it. Kids even worked to help their parent's pay bills. Nowadays, people call a child working a job as "child abuse" or a mother working a full time job to pay bills as a "bad mother". Just think about what your ancestors had to go through.. it makes your problems look like nothing.
